Christine would not say that unless she knew Stevie's intentions and as we all know, they are very close and talk all the time so Stevie must have said something to warrant this response from Christine.

I don't believe Christine would only say that if she knew for sure. It's possible she has the same mindset that a lot of people here do. That is, Stevie will definitely join the band for the album because of course she will. Why wouldn't she? Lindsey has also made statements to that effect but has changed his tune as of late or at least just been more transparent.
You know what would generate interest in a FM album? Announcing that you're going to make an album with all 5 involved. That's all that needs to happen.
