Ok here goes.

I'm a so so guitarist. I mainly play rhythm but as of late have been becoming more interesting in playing slide (this comes from a somewhat country and blues kick I've been on lately which has really inspired me) but, I feel I'm not grasping it right. So I figured I'd climb the mountain to consult the master

First, I have a metal slide (I believe it's a Dunlop, but don't quote me on that) but it's way too big (I have small fingers both in length and width.) Do you have any particular brand recommendations, especially if they make a smaller size?

When I do try to play I don't feel I'm doing it right. Is there a certain amount of pressure I should be putting on the strings? Also I read something about placing the slide just above the fret line, not directly on it...any merit to that? Which is more a optimal placement for slide...the middle finger or the pinky? (I'd like to play lead if I can too.)

And finally, any songs you recommend I play along with at a beginners speed?

Any other wisdom you'd like to impart would be awesome too!

Thanks so much!
