I always thought her reluctance to record with FM has a lot to do with how they used to undervalue her, the tensions that happen when working with Lindsey, how she feels her opinion doesn't count as much since she doesn't play an instrument. I know that's old stuff, but it comes to mind especially when she talks about how much she misses Christine.
FM also knows that Stevie is the big name of the band at this point in time. I'm not trying to make the issue black and white, ala "it's all their fault and not hers", but it could be at least one part of things.
