Beatles for sale: Signed menu sells for big bucks in UK
An in-flight menu reportedly signed by the Beatles sold way over its estimate by Omega Auctions in the UK for £6,000 ($9,491 USD), reports the Press Association.Its worth was estimated before the auction at £150 - £200 ($237 - $316 USD).

Beatles' favourite Victor Spinetti has prostate cancer he fears is terminal
Celebrated Welsh actor Victor Spinetti is suffering from cancer which he fears is terminal.Much-loved Spinetti, who starred in films including The Beatles’ A Hard Day’s Night and The Krays, has revealed for the first time he has prostate cancer which is unlikely to be cured.He was suddenly moved to a hospice this week.

Michael Starr is writing a biography of Ringo Starr and is asking “anyone who has a Ringo story” to contact him.
Starr says: “My book will cover the entire arc of Ringo’s life, from his birth in Liverpool to the present-day. I’m very interested in exploring Ringo’s pre-Beatles life in Liverpool (family, friends, schooling, etc.) and how this shaped his life — since I feel this hasn’t ever really been covered with any depth (especially when compared to the early-life coverage of Paul McCartney, John Lennon and, to a lesser extent, George Harrison).

John Lennon book plates auctioned - sold
The original printing plates for John Lennon’s first book have been sold at auction for £4,800.The metal plates were used to print words and illustrations by the Beatle in the 1964 book John Lennon, In His Own Write, the first solo project by any of The Beatles.
