Designer who dressed Beatles for Abbey Road to appear on new stamp
Tommy Nutter, known as the “rebel tailor” of Savile Row created the outfits worn by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on the cover of the album, and also designed the suit worn by Jack Nicholson in the 1989 Tim Burton movie Batman.

Only one 'Yellow Submarine' screening now at Beatles festival, but it's free
After revealing last week that the Beatles film "Yellow Submarine" would be screened several times at the Abbey Road On the River Beatles festival,*organizers said Monday that there will now only be one screening, but it will be admission free.

The Cottage Is Planning Beatles Blast 2012
The Cottage Tuesday will ask the Crystal Lake City Council for permission to host Beatles Blast Saturday, June 16.
The downtown event would be held near 6 E. Crystal Lake Avenue and would include a Beatles Acoustic competition, a dance competition, Beatles trivia quiz and a memorabilia display.

Rock Royalty Spied Shopping in Hampden
Last Wednesday afternoon, as Charlotte Hayes Murray, owner of Charlotte Elliott and the Bookstore Next Door on 36th Street in Hampden, removed a long splinter from her son Andrew’s finger, two beautiful young people, a boyfriend and girlfriend, slipped inside her shop and began to browse the only way they knew how: sexily. A “pretty” assistant-seeming person followed close.

Will Ringo Starr finally give Beatles fans the 'Let It Be' DVD they want ?
A story posted Monday on Rolling Stone.com spotlighted an admission by Ringo Starr that he can't find many of the pictures he took during his time with the Beatles, but also contained a very grabbing teaser at the end.The promo, about more to be posted from the interview later this week, included this – “his thoughts on releasing the*Let It Be*movie on DVD.”
