BUSINESSES in Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter today announced plans to revamp their world-famous district.Renowned as the home of Merseybeat, business and property owners met to share ideas on how to make the area more attractive.The Cavern Quarter is the focus of Beatles history and includes Mathew Street, one of the city centre’s key tourist destinations.

Search for actor to play Brian Epstein in planned stage play underway

Producers of a planned stage play about Beatles manager Brian Epstein are now looking for an actor to play the title role, they said Monday.The play, “Epstein,”*will run at the newly renamed Epstein Theatre from Nov. 15 to Dec. 1. The theater, formerly named the Neptune, officially re-opened last week with its new name. The stage play, first announced in February, will be the first major production at the new venue.

Story of Beatles legend Brian Epstein be be told on stage

A bio-drama telling the story of Beatles manager Brian Epstein will be the first major play to be staged at the re-opened Liverpool theatre that bears his name. The historic Cranes Theatre in Hanover Street - until recently known as The Neptune - has reopened as The Epstein Theatre.

Mark Ronson: Paul McCartney Saved Me From Drowning

Turns out Sir Paul McCartney is just as noble as his knighthood would suggest. The ex-Beatle saved producer-extraordinaire Mark Ronson from drowning in the Long Island Sound when Ronson was just a child.Apparently Ronson, who was too young to remember and heard the story from his mother, wasn't entirely convinced the tale was true. "That sounded like one of my mum's crazy stories," Ronson told Britains Live Magazine.
