Stevie Nicks on Countdown (1980)
In February 1980, while Fleetwood Mac were touring Australia promoting their double album 'Tusk', Stevie Nicks came into the Countdown studios in Melbourne to record a brief interview with host Ian 'Molly' Meldrum. That hair! And it's brown.

and so frizzy!
as a person with naturally curly (brown!) hair, I shudder to think how little we had available in terms of hair styling products in those days to get rid of frizz. |
I love that hair. Thanks for sharing. My hair was almost like that in school.

This is the first time I've seen 'Stevie Nix' used!

What was "THE song of the album" that the interviewer was referring to? "Sara"?

I noticed Molly is wearing a almost Beatles hairstyle in the interview. Suzie with Chris Norman was a great pair up in 1978 with this hit tune. Chris Norman & Suzi Quatro - Stumblin' In . |
God,she seems so sweet and down to earth, just like RD says she was.And did I hear her say "thank you" when complimented on one of her songs?I haven't heard her say that to an interviewer for a long time.Usually she just goes on and on about how important or how "fantastic" it is.It seems the "life" has hardened her but I can understand how that could happen. What a shame......:distress:
