The Other Side of the Mask

Does anyone have these BTM demos/outtakes? Would love to hear them.

True story: I googled "The Other Side of the Mask" to see what you're referring to, and google referred me back to... This page. Thanks google!

What are you referring to, applebucked? Is it just a collection of BTM demos? Any connection to TOSOTM? It all sounds terribly exciting, anyway.

Needless to say, no I don't have them. ;)

Yeah, it's a collection of BTM demos. No connections to TOSOTM that I know of.

There are alternate versions of "In The Back Of My Mind", "Hard Feelings" "When The Sun Goes Down", "Affairs Of The Heart" "When It Comes To Love", "Do You Know?", "No Questions Asked" & "Save Me". There's also a mix of the title track that is mainly just Mick's drums & Christine's vocal. And, the B-side of the "In The Back Of My Mind" single, "Lizard People".

Unreleased GEMS, like a group versions of Rick Vito's "Intuition" & "Walk Another Mile" (both of which he re-recorded for his first solo album) and "Got No Home" (which SHOULD have been on the album...AND released as a single.). Billy Burnette's "Victim Of Love" (no, not the Eagles song) & "Game Of Love" (not the Santana/Michelle Branch song) also should've made the final track list. (Yes, I think BTM should've been a double album)

For my iPod, I also expanded this album by adding "As Long As You Follow" & "Roll With Me, Henry".

Ooh, I would love to get my hands on Intuition, especially. Can't find that version on the internet. :(

I would have to agree with chiliD

I Think Behind the Mask was criminally undervalued.

The Demos were even better than the released version.
Where there issues with song selection.

Rick Vito's "Intuition" & "Walk Another Mile" , "Got No Home" were pure genius.

All 3 could have been released as singles.

My Behind The Mask track listing(in no order) would have been

Intuition
Walk Another Mile
Got No Home
In The Back Of My Mind
Skies The Limit
Victim Of Love
Do You Know
When It Comes To Love
Hard Feelings
Save Me
Affairs Of The Heart

I would also add

As Long As You Follow as well

I will try and dig out my copies of the demos

I agree, BTM is very underrated. It's a great album and I definitely prefer it over "Tango In The Night".

It does! Thank you so much. But can you upload the 15-Behind the Mask3, 15-WhentheSunGoesDown and 2-AffairsOftheHeart somewhere else. Those files have the copyright symbol next to them.

Whow, thank you, I have never heard any of these before, I love it. BTM is one of my favorite albums from FM, great stuff.
