I would love to go, but I am sure tickets will be absolutely insane...... Therefore I probably won't/:distress:

Havent seen any ads or heard any mention of a tour stop in OKC...

At least Rush is playing here in April!!!

HenleyFan 02-03-2008 10:19 AM

When and where was this? As far as I know the band hasn't cancelled any shows since 1994 and at the time there was a very good reason....Glenn Frey had to have emergency surgery. And I believe all the cancelled shows were made up.....at least the ones I had tickets for were.

As for the current dates.....ticket prices in London are indeed outrageous. Prices for Atlanta are more reasonable, but still on the high side. They're only going to do a few dates this spring. The full tour will start in the fall......more time to save. :)

Ok I need to ask you a question thats driving me nuts!!!!:] Whos does the guitar solo at the end of I Can't Tell You Why? is it Felder or Frey? I've heard both.

HenleyFan 02-04-2008 10:22 PM

The story is that in the studio Glenn played the solo....so on the album, it's Glenn, but in concert Felder always played it....until he was fired in 2001.

My friend here in Minneapolis, whos as big an Eagles fan as I am of Fleetwood Mac, (He actually saw them at Memorial Stadium back in 1975!) has been giving me updates on Don's book that came out for a brief time but was then pulled from the shelves. When do you anticipate it will be re-released?

David, apparently Amazon UK is already selling it, so it's probably just a matter of time until it comes out here.

Right....it's been available in the UK since last fall. It's supposed to be out here in the US in May.

One of the things I've heard my friend say is that possibly the book was pulled off the shelves here because of rumored legal action by Glen and Don. This may not be true at all, but from what I understand, Felder, Frey and Henley arent exactly playing kissyface these days. Which is too bad really because Don Felder SHOULD BE THERE, in my opinion anyway.
