40 Years of Creative Chaos - nice comment

I've just got this book and it seems like it will be like all the rest - nothing new.

But the writer (Donald Brackett) does seem to like Christine a lot so he can't be all bad.

"John McVie's wife, still the fiery woman behind Chicken Shack, was voted the UK's best female vocalist. For this writer she still is"

Not sure about "fiery" but a nice compliment all the same.

Gail.

I thought about getting this book, but it's $45 on Amazon. That's way, way too much. Gail, is this book very long? I'm just curious why it would cost so much. That Carol Ann Harris book was a whole lot cheaper.

By the way, if the writer of this book complimented Christine McVie, he at least got something right.;)

It's only 216 pages long, and measures 9 x 7 inches, smaller than a typical hardcover book. I wouldn't pay $45 for a book that size even it had a mink cover and was signed in gold ink by Jesus himself.

OTOH, if Neal Preston got around to making a coffee table book with his Fleetwood Mac photos, and wanted $45 for it, I'd be first in line. :]

The UK version is 174 pages but the type is really small.

I paid £25 which at today's rates is about $50 so it can't be worth it.

I haven't finished it yet but I don't expect any startling revelations.

Ever heard of the phrase "more money than sense"?

What about pictures? Are there any pictures that we haven't seen before?

Me neither, although if Christine wrote a book & it sold for $45, then I'd buy it.:D
