Christine McVie joined Stan Webb's Chicken Shack in 1968 and promptly became the fan favorite. No live recordings of her with the band exist except for this BBC material (and two other different songs on a legitimately issued Chicken Shack BBC CD). This is also her first live recordings ever.
She recorded a cover of Etta James' I'd Rather Go Blind with the band (on the legit BBC cd), became really famous, left the Shack, and shortly after began sitting in with Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. You know the rest....
