Who's sad that the tour is over? Let Wilco help you.

Hey -

Anyone else out there having FM withdrawl?

I found a great way to cope this year - WILCO!

They are truly the best band on the road these days and I know all you FM show addicts would love WILCO live.

I think they only have a few dates left on this tour but I'm sure they'll start up again in the spring or summer. Check them out if you can. All their albums are fantastic, although for you mainstreamers beware - they get more experimental as they go along. The last one - A Ghost Is Born, has lots of Lindsey -style ear-shattering guitar solos.

Ah!!! THAT'S the reason why I love that album so much! I think it's their best! I did not make the link with Lindsey yet. But I think you're right! The guitarwork on this album is fabulous! ( so are the songs ). That third 10 minute track (lost the title for a moment) is out of this world....could have been a lindsey-solotrack....now that you mention it....

Yes - it's called Spiders (Kidsmoke) and it's pretty amazing. I also hear a lot of Neil Young/Crazy Horse on this album.

Sorry I'm getting "off topic" but I think it's good for all of us to branch out and talk about other music, even if it's not FM

I'm listening a lot to Franz Ferdinand in this period. They've been able to sound great even at EMA's. Their album (Franz Ferdinand) is beautiful and they're impressive live.

Sparks turned me onto them. They're pretty damn good. :woohoo:

Do you also have the impression of a strong Clash/Joy Division influence? Whatever it is, it works pretty well.

No not at all. I'm waiting for something NEW. The SYW Tour was long overdue to be over with. Actually I'm looking forward to Stevie's next solo effort the most.
