Pip

If you're into musicals then try this East German one from the 60s.

Its called Heiber Sommer (Hot Summer) and not to be taken too seriously.

My two favorite musicals of all time, in the TOP FIVE...Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. How fun.

The fact that the musical episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is on the list ahead of some amazing shows makes me laugh a great deal

WTF? Miss Saigon is #99? And where's Rent? Although I remember hearing Rent didn't catch on the UK like it did in the US.

I love Blood Brothers and that would definitely be in my top ten. I also like Sugar (based on Some Like it Hot). Grease is one fo my all-time faves too! I love musicals!!!

I used to watch Seven Brides For Seven Brother and Cats religously. I think the tapes are broken now. I saw the broadway show of Fame at Cleveland a year or two ago, was in The King and I, and I recently tried out for the local art center's production of Les Miserables but didn't get in... director seemed to have something against the Janis Joplin I sung for the audition.

I saw West Side Story and Starlight Express on stage last year, but wasn't too thrilled. I saw Singing In The Rain when I was 6 or 7 and I still sing that song whenever it rains. I was going to try out for a local production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Oviler! just in the past few years, but my mom found ways of not letting me. I've seen Jesus Christ Superstar, Kiss Me Kate, and The Producers on stage as well, but they weren't near as good as Sunset Boullivard. :D

I hate this list.
Way out of order, IMO, and there are not a whole lot of musicals in this world I have opinions of, even.

All of my favorites are on the list, so I'm glad. :D But they should've included the Rocky Horror Picture Show sequel "Shock Treatment." Damn fine musical.

Gypsy is a classic, but the Midler version blows it out of the water (and I'm not saying that because I'm a Midler fan, either!). The music was much better in the newer version.

Glad to see "Everyone Says I Love You" and "Hedwig" on that list!

Oh, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks should have been on that list, NOT BUFFY!
