Who the *bleep* is Dave Kelly?

http://shopping.yahoo.com/shop?d=pro...-tracks#tracks

I stumbled across this just now...and notice when listening to some of these songs.....some dude named Dave Kelly is singing with FM. WHO IS HE?! These rarities also mention Bob Brunning as bass player....so this is pre-McVie. LOL

I'm sure you pre-Rumours experts know about this...but I had no idea.

What that probably was, was Tramp recordings.

Tramp were a band formed by Brunning and piano player Bob Hall in '69 which also included Mick Fleetwood on drums, Danny Kirwan and brother and sister vocalists Dave & Jo Ann Kelly for their first GREAT seltitled album in 1969 and then they added Dave Brooks on sax and Ian Morton for percussion for their second album in 1974 called "Put a record on". (Dave & Jo Ann also play guitar normally but they were appearing on the first album under the fake names "Little Brother Dave" & "Memphis Lil'" due to legal reasons of being on another label, smaller labels whereas Danny & Mick didn't have to "hide" under fake names because with FM being signed with Warner/Reprisem that carried enough clout to not cause them such problems) and as Danny was there for the axework, I'm guessing this legal hiding was another reason why they just sang with Tramp and not played guitar)

Mooncrest Records in the UK have released three CD's of rare Jo Ann Kelly related recordings which include much material from Tramp's PARO era (though with slightly different personnel due to Danny's problems at the time and Mick's FM commitments). Hope that helps. :)

also...

Just saw the listing on your link and that CD also includes Brunning Sunflower Blues Band tracks, on which Dave & Jo Ann Kelly guested as well as Peter Green (and Bob Hall and so on...). :)
