Thanks for the update .Now I guess Stevie probably her mini tour to promote her DVD.Lindsey will do some of his own shows.John will have some time to recover.Mick will be taking care of things at his restaurant and Christine has time to think it over if she wants to get back into touring with her band mates again.

Not playing a festival in 2014 does not necessarily mean there won't be a 2014 tour. If Fleetwood Mac does not tour, I hope Mick, John, Christine, and Rick Vito do a blues quartet tour (the Fleetwood-McVie BluesBand).

I thought one of FM members said they will tour again Europe/UK in 2014.I cant recall who said it but I remember reading it on here in the Rumours forum.

They are going to record an album with Chris' material and Lindsey's (with J&M) as a base, Stevie writes three or four new macsongs while Lindsey prepares the tracks with his neighbour. In march april june juli they finish it and then embark on a huge final worldtour with Christine on board. That can last until someone falls over.

Still not a fan of the whole "final tour" concept, and I don't think they're too crazy about that idea, either.

I know, me neither, but last tour showde that there still is a big interest. But that will not last forever on this scale. I spoken a lot of parent- young adults visitors that came to the concerts in Amsterdam because they felt it was their last chance to see them. 34000 concerttickets sold in Amsterdam, that never happened before in the Netherlands for FM.

The Eagles pulled that final tour bit years ago and they just toured last summer .Garth Brooks retired years ago .Now years later he is getting back in swing of it.

Alabama probably come out of retirement and hit the road soon.

I think FM wont pack it in yet .

They already have. One of them said that they having the last show be in Bismarck, ND just didn't set too well with any of them.

I don't even think they'll joke about it.

^Oh, that's very interesting. Basically what Mick said too. Sounds like they're thinking about tomorrow.

Thanks for posting.

It's a very serious rumour that Mick and his Blues band are going to be at Glastonbury this June.
Given that the Saturday headliners are still to be announced - despite Stevie saying they're not playing, I would expect some further chats to be taking place.
It would make sense - an ideal ooportunity to headline a festival they have said they want to play.

Finger's crossed!

i don't FM doing Glasto this june, plus the organizer explicitly said so anyway. however Glasto 2015 seems like a distinct possibility.

if they are in the middle (or the end) of recording in june, i don't see Mick and his band doing it either, frankly.

Yes. I'd be surprised if the Glastonbury people even sent out feelers about Mick's band doing it.

Could Fleetwood Mac headline Glastonbury?

Industry website tips classic rockers as 'to be confirmed' for Worthy Farm next year

This year's event may have only just passed, but Fleetwood Mac are already being tipped to headline Glastonbury Festival 2015.

The 'Go Your Own Way' classic rockers were long-rumoured to headline this year, but this became impossible after bassist John McVie fell ill with cancer. But now, McVie is on the mend and the band are back on the road and gearing up to record a new album.

Now, music festival website eFestivals are listing the band as 'To Be Confirmed', meaning that based on industry knowledge, they believe them to be almost certain for the event. They did the same for Kasabian and Metallica this year long before they were confirmed and are a trusted source of festival rumours.

Speaking to Gigwise last year, we asked drummer Mick Fleetwood said: "We were asked to do some lovely festivals this year and it didn't work out. Once you do the festivals then you can't really do a tour of the other towns. We were asked to do Glastonbury this year and hopefully they'll ask us again."

When asked about the possibility of playing Glastonbury 2014, Fleetwood replied: "I don't know - they've probably got fed up of asking us!"

However, when asked about Glastonbury earlier this year, Christine McVie replied: "If Michael Eavis provides the wellies I'll be there."

Meanwhile, the bookies' favourites to headline Glastonbury 2015 have been named as Depeche Mode, while AC/DC and Prince are also rumoured. We have a year-long wait until we find out for sure.

Festival organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed that three headliners are already booked.
