She's Our Butternut Squash
Liked this comparison from Slate Magazine:
http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/...ay_season.html Apples also make a nice, albeit optional, addition. Their peak season coincides almost perfectly with that of butternut squash—and their sweet-tart flavor and fluffy texture keep the soup from being one-dimensionally squashy. And cinnamon is the ideal spice for butternut squash soup; like Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac, it’s appealingly sweet without being flashy or domineering. |
Love it!!!

What timing.....that's what I plan on making tomorrow night for dinner, butternut squash soup. :) Only my recipe didn't call for cinnamon, you can bet I'll add a splash now!

If she's squash then what would Stevie be?
|
Yum!! I love when things are on point!
|
So Christine is cinnamon, and Stevie is......?
I think these two could easily be the next Spice Girls. |
Hey! I think the recipe sounds delicious. I think I'll try it.
For the person who asked "if Chris is the squash..." Chris is not the squash, she is the cinnamon. The ingredient without which the whole thing would be bland and tasteless. I suspect the person who wrote the article was listening to the Mac while she cooked. But which album? |

That's like I received a Christmas present early. |
Just had to drop in to say butternut squash soup is my new favorite food... yummy in so many ways during the cold winter months.
