My post on this thread (the last post, also copied below) immediately came to mind: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=58483

Thank god he has Kristen.

2018 - taking a stock for LB & LB fans

2018 taught me to appreciate Lindsey more. His firing forced me to take a closer look at his skill set, and I came away an even bigger fan than before.

I had not listened to Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie, Seeds We Sow, Songs From The Small Machine, or One Man Show. With the exception of the 50% of OMS that is unavailable, I am now familiar with all of these. I also listened for the first time to the bootleg GOS material (thanks to you kind folks who referred me to it after I bumped up an 18-year-old thread). What a treat "Singer, Not The Song" is.

I even checked out the Walter Egan records he produced.

I now find myself a much more educated and appreciative Lindsey Buckingham fan.

Thanks, Fleetwood Mac, for making that happen.

Such a shock to read this. I sure hope he recovers fully. He looked/sounded so great on Nov 30 when I saw his show in PA. Thank goodness he sought medical care and seems to be on the mend.

I had tickets to see Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz in June of 2018, and the show was cancelled last minute because Mike had to have emergency heart surgery, also. I bring it up because Mike is back on the road and looking/sounding great, and says he's feeling so much better than the weeks before the problem was found, so we can only hope Lindsey's recovery goes just as well, also.

I'll second that sentiment. Let's be positive and hope and pray for the best.

Get well Linds.

And check out his work with John Stewart if you have not already.

Sending my Love and kind thoughts for a quick and healthy healing process for our precious Lindsey and his loving, supportive family.

THANK GOD he's recovering. Praying for Lindsey's healing, and his vocal chords as well. While his life is most important of course, it would be a great loss if he were unable to sing again.

Nick do you have any idea what a broken heart and stress can do to a person? I am putting SOME of the blame right at the witch's feet.

"We have mocked his speeches before, but what I wouldn’t give to hear him drone on about cycles now. As for his singing voice, I have had complaints about his whisper croaking for a long time now. So, I will take that with gratitude"[/QUOTE]
Beautiful statement. So grateful we have his wife to speak for him at the moment. Praying for a complete recovery.

Thinking the same thing. He'll still have his magic hands but the combination of his playing and singing is truly special. Lifting Lindsey and his family up in prayer.

This is weighing on me so heavily. How incredible it is to have a person ice only ever met once to have such an impact on my life.

I pray that he gets well, his health and family are most important.

I will say, for open heart surgery, he doesn’t look too bad!

At worst, we will finally get to hear his side of the story with a book.

So sorry to hear about Lindsey. What a year this man and his family have had. So glad he is recovering. I pray his voice returns.

I hope Stevie and Mick take some time to think about this past year also and maybe reach out to Lindsey. Stevie has a lot to thank Lindsey for in her life and career. We'll see.

If god forbid he can't sing and perform as he could, I'd love to see him transition to producing other artists.
