Fleetwood Mac headlines Dreamforce concert at Oracle Park

If you happen to be walking by Oracle Park in San Francisco on Wednesday, Nov. 20, don’t be surprised if you hear “Don’t Stop,” “Gold Dust Woman” or “Go Your Own Way” blasting out of the ballpark.

And that’s because it’s just been announced that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act behind all those songs — Fleetwood Mac — is performing at the home of the San Francisco Giants.

It’s the 10th annual Concert for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, which is held in conjunction with Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce event.

A crowd of some 40,000 is expected to attend.

Many of those people will be badge holders for the Dreamforce event. Now, you don’t have to be a part of that mega-happening to attend the concert. But you will need money.

Tickets for the event start at $1,000. Some corporate VIP ticket packages go as high as $1 million.

See www.theconcertforkids.com for more information.

The schedule for the concert is:

6:30 p.m.: Doors open; VIP cocktail reception

7:20 p.m.: UCSF Colin Powell Medal of Courage Presentation

7:30 p.m.: Opening act (TBA)

9 p.m. : Fleetwood Mac performance

10:30 pm: The Club After Party

That's so generous of Mick! How can someone be so nice and so awful at the same time? Something's missing here. :D

Interesting to read the summary of the band at this website:

Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac was founded by Peter Green in 1967 and was named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. After Peter Green left in 1969, Fleetwood and McVie remained as original members, and the band has since featured a cast of brilliant talents. Most notably, Christine McVie joined the band in 1970, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1974. The enduring spirit of Fleetwood Mac stands for an incredible body of great music that has connected with generations of people all over the world for more than 50 years. Fleetwood Mac has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and the GRAMMY-award winning band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

It seems Lindsey will do some charity without even knowing it!:laugh:

They're also including Finn as a RRHOF inductee. They should do a bit more of research IMO.
