Forgot and act's name - 70s and 80s music fans help!
 

Hi everyone!
I identified a song and its performer one day by googling a part of the lyrics I managed to write down after hearing it on the radio... now i forgot completely, and I really need it! What I DO remember:

- 70s - maybe early 80s sound - funky, melodic, many chord progressions
- female vocalist
- it was a band, the name was comprised of TWO LAST NAMES : the first one was the - girl singer's last name, the other - a guy's last name
- the girl played the piano

I'd be really grateful if you could help!

p.s: clearly, those aren't last names...

Well... actually it is for one of them: Toni Tennille. I never took her seriously until I noticed her credited as a vocalist on Pink Floyd's The Wall album. Okay... I still don't take her seriously, but at least she did ONE cool thing. :p

Your description made me think of "Love Will Keep Us Together" instantly.

I wasted hours trying to track this down. I even typed some act i thought might be from the same era/genre into youtube and hoped they would pop up in the related videos somehow. then as soon as I remembered the ledge, I was sure someone here would know :)

just watched a live perf of the song you mentioned. you can almost tell the condition of toni tennille's gums when she sings.
