Really? No bump in sales? I just checked and "Gypsy" jumped to number 13 on the rock songs chart and Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits is currently number 10. I'd say that's a result of her appearance on the show.

I said her sales. Last time with AHS, her greatest hits got a huge boost.

She sang Seven Wonders in one episode and Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You in another episode, so it makes sense that the sales would go up for which ever album the song was on; in the case of HAEWAFY, I'm sure sales went up for her greatest hits album, and likewise for Gypsy, FM's greatest hits album got a nice bump.

Agreed about the end. If they wanted it to be a message to Misty (yay that she's back!), why not just a coherent and poignant line or two at the end? Just repeating words and phrases seemingly randomly was not the way to go.

Her gereatest hits has finally been charting. I think it’s because of R&R Hall of Fame though.

I love Stevie Nicks and the song Gypsy is a classic and I love Stevie's demos because they are usually her great voice and a piano. I was so let down with her vocal on this version of Gypsy. I can't believe she was satisfied with this. I also was under the impression she was going to do some acting in the episode. I haven't watched the show yet this season because I like to save them all and watch them all in a 3 day period or so but from what I saw it seemed absolutely pointless to have her show up, swing the doors open and then sing Gypsy to Misty Day and the people in the room. The guy playing the piano could have used more practice and Stevie was trying hard to sing to his playing but IMHO it just did not work and I never want to see it again, that is until I watch the episode myself LOL.

I gotta say: I'm pretty disappointed that she couldn't even change up the sailor-dress uniform of late, even for American Horror Story. Good God woman, is that the only outfit you can come up with for anything????????

Stevie who?! Just watched the latest episode of AHS. Jessica Lange is back! She's fierce! Great actress! One of the best episodes I've seen in awhile.

I think it was spot on. She clearly doesn’t like acting. She didn’t really have a lot of time to do this as she was getting ready to tour. She probably didn’t want the stress of having to try to act out a scene while dealing with all the crap with FM. And frankly, if she had anyone reporting back to her about stuff that’s said on social media and her “fan” boards she was probably told a majority of your fans say your acting sucks. So why would she put herself through that again.

I remember when she talked about her first appearance and she said all she expected to do was to walk into the room and say “hello witches”, so I’m glad she got to do this one the way she wanted. And the idea of her healing Misty with such a wonderful song like Gypsy, and slightly redirecting the lyrics at the end to seem to be about her directly was a nice touch. I cried so much when that happened. If I were sick and Stevie sang directly to me I know I’d feel worlds better. It was also reminiscent of how she always used to visit the veterans in the hospital. So I thought it fit perfectly.

I liked the Stevie mention by Myrtle in ep 9. "And Misty's off gallivanting with Stevie," tickled me...:cool:
