I appreciate the fact that he plays sensibly priced guitars.

Canvey Island...so PG is back in England or was he just visiting? Didn't the Epi and Squier look brand new?

Ms Moose 10-07-2008 03:18 PM

Pure bliss

MAH GAWD!!! HOLY SMOKE!!! What a surprise! :woohoo::blob1::woohoo: Thanks Dansven!

He even sings better here than he did with Splinter Group - and he looks very healthy, too. In my opinion he need not have to go on the road or on stage as long as he throws dollups like this at us fans from time to time.

Mike Dodd is he not PG's former roadie?

Holy cow!
Greeny looking sharp and sounding great!
Screw the Anthology, this is the best Greeny news in quite a while!

Magnificent!!!!
Thanks Daniel.
BTW Is this (and more) to be expected on the new release?

chriskisn 10-07-2008 10:05 PM

Peter certainly looks more "with it" than he has in the past. Even on the Splinter Group stuff he never quite looked fully there (maybe he just wasn't comfortable?).

Oh how I wish he would do more albums...we had him back for such a short time :(

Great find, dansven! Thanks for posting this.

thank you dansven. beautiful. of course he still has it. zero

Thanks for the kind words, everybody! :)
Notice how he avoids bending the strings.. This was something he started in the 80s, if you listen to the live recordings from that era. (Although he went back to bending with the Splinter Group.)

I really like that .. bending strings is imo very much a habit among guitarists. So it's kind of brave of him .. especially to play BLUES with no string bending. If you try it, you'll soon realize that it's hard to avoid the habit og bending! One needs to think more...
So Peter Green the 2000s has developed a very distinct, personal style!

agreed

It is both understated, personal and evocative.

always original and of the moment
