[From an article about the band Telestela]

When I spoke to Ricky, he told me that Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac is one of his biggest influences. Looking at the list above, you can hear elements of all of them in their music. Ricky plays mostly notation on his guitar and it is very reminiscent of songs like "Reptile" by the Church, and anything off "Pygmalion" by Slowdive.

I've got a Lindsey nugget.
This section of The Ledge
is dead.

R.I.P. Lindsey.

Because basicly all Lindseyfans ran away from here. Understandably.

Why so?

I was away for an extended period.
Did I miss something?

shackin'up 07-05-2015 05:02 PM

No you did not miss anything. But it is obvious that Lindsey's Side of this site is dead, where it was very lively before. It's basicly elle that keeps it alive. She knows what I mean.

bombaysaffires 07-05-2015 05:51 PM

was there a mass exodus of Lindsey fans??

Okay.

It's sad really since he's the most talented one
of the group in my opinion.

Three cheers for Elle!

From a review of Dawes

Pop Matters by John Bergstrom, July 7, 2015

http://www.popmatters.com/review/194...avorite-bands/

Musically, the band run through these mostly slow to midtempo songs in their familiarly tasteful, SoCal alt-country way. Goldsmith is a guitarist worth listening too, mixing the bright tonality of Lindsey Buckingham and the flinty probing of Neil Young in equal measure. The Hammond organ swells add the right measure of backporch comfort.

Dawes is an awesome band. Saw them last year in Nijmegen, first as Dawes, later in the evening as the backingband for Connor Oberst (aka Bright Eyes). One of the live highlights for me in 2014.

i know! love love love seeing a pic of Lindsey and Eddie!

we need LB/Vedder/PJ collaboration!!

although apparently LB really didn't feel like eating that cupcake. ;)

Seattle just isn't Seattle without Eddie. #kbchrush #pearljam #guitarlove

strikes me as funny that LB has exponentially larger social media presence when FM is on break than while they are in tour - first it was Taylor Swift fan sites after USC thing, and now 1D and all their fan sites all day today!!

Goodness. That's a stupid looking cupcake. No icing and a cherry with stem attached with some suspicious looking sticky substance.

Lindsey, throw it in that potted plant behind the door, as soon as you get the chance.

[this article thinks that One Direction was hanging out with other members of FM too, they just don't know the names of the other 2 guys in the photo. At least they got Lindsey right]

The 21-year-old was playing in Seattle with his band mates when the Dreams hit makers stopped by.

The Irish pop star couldn’t hide his excitement at seeing the guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

“Then this happens, Lindsey Buckingham walks into the dressing room, holy ****tt ! No pressure on the guitar tonight at all,” he said.

The guitarist looked happy hanging out with the young artist and even treated himself to a cupcake.

[Excerpt from Bleachers Review]

http://www.bostonherald.com/entertai...r_class_in_pop

Bleachers opened with pop rock made for stadiums. It’s a shame radio doesn’t push stadium anthems today. Frontman Jack Antonoff had the right idea with a Fleetwood Mac cover, but he doesn’t have the pipes for “Go Your Own Way.” Stick to the originals, they’re good. Not Fleetwood Mac good, but what is? Oh, yeah, Billy Joel.

so wait, FM wasn't playing Seattle a week ago right? So did LB fly here just so his daughter could see 1D???
