Wow her voice is beautiful. Not crazy about the first listen, but guess what. It's growing on me.

Did anyone else hear those Fleetwood Mac ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh's

I miss that so much!

This song sounds a lot like the stuff from Time. If the whole album is more of the same, it won't appeal to me. Be that as it may, it has a nice contemporary feel and Christine's voice sounds positively wonderful.

I didn't care for the song much on first listen, but after about 3 or 4 I'm in lOVE with the song. Her voice is danmed beautiful and unlike Stevie's it's not always changing (not necasarily a bad thing to Stevie but you never know what you're going to get from her vocally on a song) This song flows like honey. Christine is a true American Idol. I'm going to delete this song now. Now that I've at least heard one song and loved it from her album, I'll wait patiently til GASP July 27th.

Umm, from Pip's second post on this thread:

I had mentioned seeing FM 6 times last year and he commented on me being a big fan and that I had emailed him to thank him for playing Christine. Then he said I would probably like the next track feauturing Stevie Nicks and he played Gold! Typical I missed all this but luckily my hubby was driving to work and heard it!
I assumed Gold was a new song on Christine's album - or was he referring to the John Stewart song?? I'm confused...

Haha I am an idiot, I thought the radio station jingle was the song, lol. 'Ack'!

Thanks Joe, Christy and Tracy!

It does have a Time feel to it, which I think it's great. It sounds very Fleetwood Mac. Much more Fleetwood Mac than the current Fleetwood Mac, I would say. I love it. I cannot wait for the rest of the album, and thanks for the link. :)

Song of the moment - You Are (of course)

I was just having a shower and realised that the percussion on the chorus is similar to the drumming effect used in YMLF. lol

Hey thanks for posting the link. I needed myself a little Christine fix. It's been a long time. I liked the song, but not blown away by it. Christine's voice, which sounds as good as ever, and the melody of the song are more appealing to me than the words. She definitely hasn't changed her main style of straightforward pure pop, and that's ok with me. :xoxo:

Well I like the way the song starts. But then the climax should be the chorus, which I don't regard as very exciting. There are only a few songs where I like the stanzas better than the chorus. (Peacekeeper btw is one of those) So I think the song could have been better with a catchier chorus. Maybe catchier is not the right word, but somehow I feel the song develops in a direction then that I did not expect during the first listen and which leaves space for improvement and a different idea. I am still not sure whether I should buy the album or not. But I must admit it was nice to hear that familiar voice after all.

Though this song is good, I hope this is not the same tone for the rest of the album, which is supposed to be angrier.

even tho i really like the song, i doubt that it is indicative of what the album will be as a whole. . .i don't necessarily think that 'peacekeeper' is representative of 'say you will' as an album.

but then again, we won't really know until it comes out! :)
