What up with the VH1 Fleetwood Mac message board?
 

The entire board is gone with all of the old posts on it. To even look at posts (there are none, as far I could see), you have to log in. Hmm.
No tremendous loss, but I was just wondering. I guess VH1.com got wind of all the illicit sexual fan fiction and illegal advertising being posted there, heh, heh.

Eerie to go back there with it bein' so empty and all...lots o' tumbleweeds floatin' around, though. Thought I heard a wolf bayin' in the stillness...

I noticed this too. I keep checking on VH-1 and no dice. I then go to search for FM under "F" and when I go to click on FM, it bounces back to their main page. Go figure... :confused:

The same thing happened to me yesterday...I just assumed it was a site glitch

That happened to me as well. At least we don't have to look at all the soft porn threads any more :nod: But like Gypsy said it's not a tremendous loss; since I registered at VH1 that's all that was ever posted there- soft porn stories and Johnathan Todd propaganda.

Oh, it wasn't the teen porn or the JT propaganda. I suspect they closed it after complaints by (I wonder who?) because the thread had posts revealing the awful truth about the fan club. This reminds me of the Nicks Fix censorship. Somebody (I wonder who?) got the Nicks Fix to remove a fan poll that showed a huge majority of fans against the fan club. Remember when that happened? Soon after it was gone the happy club letters got posted there instead. Aside from this great site, which we know isn't officially blessed by the band, where else is the truth being told without official censorship being unleashed? Other fan run sites are not whitewashing. That's about it. Still think the band doesn't know anything? Sure.

JT & Porn. Both trashy subjects.

It's truly an outrage.

I emailed VH-1 asking what happened to the forum, so it will be interesting to see if I get a reply.

JT probably either had the board pulled or whined to someone else who did, like Reprise. Well, they have to remember that they can hack it, remove it, wash it, and try to reinvent it, but, it happened the way that it happened and shame on anyone who it trying to wait this out and change history. We ain't going NOWHERE.

One of the board members on Micks Chat posted a link to his fan website in the News section. He was told by an administrator that because legal stuff was involved, posting fan links was a no-no.
An aquaintaince of mine posted back, asking why Jonathon Todd was advertising for the Fan Club and website on the VH1 Fleetwood Mac message board, and included links to his posts. They asked why the Knight could do that on other message boards, but posters on HIS message board couldn't link to their fan sites.
The next day, that post questioning the hypocrisy was gone (surprise), and the adminstrator sent that poster a message, basically saying, I know what you're trying to do- (get JT in troble, i guess), and to cut it out, or else. The VH1 message board was gone the same day, I think.
Maybe the Knight realized what a dumbass move he made. He probably claimed that someone was falsely advertising the site under his name or something. I agree with you all saying that JT proably had some hand in this. I wonder if vh1 will write you back, Gypsysara, and what they will say? Let us know!

Now that is interesting. I remember that thread on Mick's board though I didn't realise it had been deleted. I think that was a fair enough question though... but of course Todd runs by his own set of rules, andmost of them he makes up as he goes along!

A friend of mine from one of the alt music boards mentioned to me that several people complained about not being able to access the vh1 board.
She didn't really say much else except that some of the old time members on the Mac board couldn't keep their posts going because of the new threads.

I had trouble accessing that board last week and then it was back up.

So I didn't know it was actually down till I read this thread.
They could be upgrading or somethin??
Oh well, I never post there, I just popped over when I saw the link here about it.
