I agree with Louie and Sister on having Chit Chat as a bonus forum. Some of those forums I mentioned dont even have a chit chat section.I remember reading posts on those forums in the topics which is technically off topic. They were saying ."How come this forum dont have a chit chat or open topic section". The mods replied saying."We dont have them because the trouble of users abusing it". As of posting BS and stir up things. As other FM forums are gone or die off .We are lucky what we got here and have a forum that very informative and up to date with the members of FM and their solo work.I have to admit that I acted like a ahole during the time with those hot topics last summer and I had to back off and take a break from it all.Again I apologize for what was said at the time.

Yes they have, and it was a moderator.

I'll find it.

SisterN,

There's the quote as proof.

Yes, it seems that Louie used that word incorrectly, however I see from the context of the whole sentence that he was still just referring to the chit-chat section, not the whole forum like it seemed in your post. What I, and surely also he, wanted to say is that chit-chat is an extra.

I want to say I an happy this is a political free space right now

I have lost a few friends (since childhood ) who I never suspected harbored so much hate .

and the constant memes and such polluting my facebok news feed is nauseating from all 4 sides .

and the glut of congratulations from people who did not know there was a Baseball team called the Cubs until last night / this morning ( a welcomed break from politics )

anyway I am glad it is not infected here

now here's a cute bunny

When I started my new eating and exercise lifestyle, I decided I needed a cheat weekend where I could indulge in my old foods as a reward. I decided one weekend every 60 days would be the time. So after the first two months I had one meal at McDonald's(Filet o Fish, Lg. Fries), [Sm. Fries to eat in the car on the way home LOL], one meal at my favorite Chinese food restaurant, As many slices as I could handle of pepperoni pizza, one meal at Denny's(Chicken Melt sandwich with French Fries) and one Sundae from Friendly's( a fantastic ice cream parlour only available in the North East) Ice Cream and one Snicker's candy bar. These are all my comfort foods. These foods must all be consumed between Thursday through Sunday. I had most of them and they were enjoyable. About a week back into my regimen I realized I had forgotten to eat the ice cream and the candy bar but they were going to have to wait until the next 60 day cheat weekend. After all that eating my body gained back NINE pounds in 4 days and it took me a little under 2 weeks to jog that off. After the next 60 day cycle which became 4 months since my new lifestyle began, I indulged in my enjoyable cheat weekend. This time I included a friend and family in these cheat foods. At this same time my left leg, just below the knee and downward was killing me from all the jogging, even though I had done stretches before and after each run. It got to the point that it hurt so bad that I started to feel crippled so I decided to take some time off from jogging. On cheat weekend # 2 my body gained back 7 lbs. and so I decided to skip the ice cream sundae because it just wasn't worth it. I continued to eat right and continued to lift weights but I ended up not walking or jogging for 11 days. My knee is only sore in one finger tipped sized spot so I decided it was time to resume walking. Last night after work I was exhausted and all I felt like doing was relaxing in my computer chair and playing on FB but instead I went out and walked my 3.3 miles. When I got back home I lifted weights for 15 min. and then got down on my back on my mat and for the first time since 1974(I kid u not) I did sit ups. I did 5 of them and then forced myself to do 2 more. Then I felt so good about myself and also felt some renewed energy for the rest of the evening. Just by eating right it only took my body 5 days to shed the cheat weekend # 2 foods but by not walking or jogging for those 11 days I did not go down in weight. I remained the same. Now I am going to post this for all of you to read and then out the door on my walk I'll go.

That's amazing Viv.
Yeah, jogging can be a pain for joints, since I have back problems I avoid it and walk instead.
However usually people that are on a diet can have a cheat day every week, maybe it's better instead of three full days even if they are every once in a while? Surely it's more rewarding and constant.
For example my mother uses Saturday's dinner and Sunday's luch for cheat day.

good for you ! no one should jog may i suggest swimming and or water aerobics, I know it helps , the YMCA usually has a few pools , the Hospital near me South Shore offered aerobics and yoga in a heated pool ( ahhh ) also there is a Community pool in the a near by town Weymouth Parks dept runs the schools use it from 3 - 5 before and after and weekends it is open to the public ( and usually empty ) check your towns website website and also some high schools/colleges and hotels with pools let the public use them

Wow.Thats great Viv.I'm glad that you are keeping up on your workouts..I have to get my a$$ in gear better here with more walking but getting a good killer workout raking leaves over here..I had a good report from my kidney doctor NEP specialist yesterday about my blood pressure is doing better with the upgrade of the BP pills mg size. She wants to keep the BP down to save my kidneys from destruction from high BP.So on that I have not had a potato chip or other salted food for about a month and I'm dying to have atlease one chip. Now I know what the people that quit smoking are going through. That junk food will kill you like booze and smokes.Today I scheduled my yearly physical appt with my primary doctor from December. So thats another set of blood tests and pee tests at Quest I got to do in a couple weeks.I now feel like a pin cushion.

I normally ignore baseball and almost all sports, but as I have been wearing a Cubs ball cap for the last decade plus since a then boyfriend bought it for me (in non-official pink though), this year I took an interest. Plus having a Canadian team involved in the other league for awhile helped. It was fun watching them play in Texas. So now I can wear the Cubs hat even more proudly! In terms of entertainment I enjoyed the games I watched, definitely a personal record for me. The only other things I pay attention to are ice hockey and soccer/football (not to be confused with the U.S. and Canadian so-called 'football'). Yeah, they're probably all multi-millionaires and some might even be jerks but yay Cubs after 108 years! :)

Oops Sorry. You are right . Wow.Thats great.I guess it was a great game. Not in BB like I used too.If the CMA's were not celebrating their 50th with alot of classic artists on the show then only crop of todays current so called country artists.I probably watch the game.

iamnotafraid 11-04-2016 10:56 PM

I wanted to watch the CMA's but I chose to watch history being made.
Game 7 and a 108 year drought - I had to watch.

Plus I didn't have to sit through Beyonce. What a joke.
