If you could ask Ray Lindsey one question, what would it be?

Ray Lindsey is a guitarist and sound technician. In 1975 he was hired by Fleetwood Mac to drive a truck for their first tour with new members SN & LB.

He served as additional guitarist on Fleetwood Mac's Tusk and Mirage tours. He also worked on their 2003 Say You Will tour as a guitar technician and on Buckingham's Live at the Bass Performance Hall (2007).

I also read the only Fleetwood Mac studio recording to feature his playing was Straight Back in 1982. He also received credit as a guitar technician on the two new songs on the 1988 Greatest Hits album, and as engineer in Say You Will album.

If you could ask Ray Lindsey one question, what would it be?

Ray also wrote a book about his days with Fleetwood Mac, came out in 2018.

I may have to check out that book. Has anyone read it. What a time to be with the band for both Tusk and Mirage tours. I love crazy tour stories so I would like to ask something along those lines.

“Ray, do you have any film footage or scintillating audio of Fleetwood Mac finishing up its 1980 tour that you’d like to sell?”

Describe the climactic fight omitted from the Destiny Rules documentary.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how disgusting/humiliating was it to pour beer down Mick's throat during the Mirage tour? Was it a one time thing for the cameras, or were you expected to perform in that capacity for every show?

:p

Although that may have been Tony Todaro who did that — he was the drum tech in those years. He went to Ghana with Mick in 1981 and doubled on a full kit on “Tusk” on the 1980 tour behind a curtain.

Ah, good to know.

I should start a "If you could ask Tony Todaro one question, what would it be?" thread. ;)

I would ask Tony Todaro what he would ask Ray Lindsay.

Don’t forget to start a “If you could ask Jeff Sova one question, what would it be?” thread.

Jeffrey was the keyboard tech who played the horn sounds on Tusk on an Oberheim Four Voice and the pad on Hold Me on a Prophet-10.

Maybe an all-inclusive "What substance did you pour/inject/insert into the members of FM?" thread would be more appropriate. :D

Do you regret making Stevie Nicks a Star after what she did to you?

SteveMacD 02-14-2020 09:35 PM

On second thought…
