Christine on Philly radio

Debbie Calton on WMGK interviewed her. If you go to WMGK.com you can view it I'm sure.

It was a nice interview. I was at work so it was hard to hear, but it was nice. I really love Debbie ( she interviewed Stevie back in the day too).

Afterwards, they gave out of bunch of copies of "In the Meantime" ( and played the first single) but I didn't win one. I was shocked how long the phones were busy. Lots of fans around!

I don't believe this. This station is in my area & I missed it. I checked WMGK's website & I can't find anything about it.

Janet, what did Christine have to say?

ThePenguin 09-04-2004 03:24 PM

Yeah, I checked thr website and couldn't find anything about it either. This interview was live? My God, is it possible she is right here, mere miles from me? :woohoo:

I'd love to know what she talked about also....

And breathing the same as air as you, Lis. This is very frustrating. If I'd known, I would have turned on my radio.

Looks like they list their interviews. I emailed Debbie to post it! And expressed my interest in CM

I e-mailed her too on Sunday morning. I'd hate to think I'm going to miss this interview.

I just got an e-mail back from Debbi Calton. She said that Christine's interview will eventually be posted but it usually does take a bit of time for it to happen. She hopes that by the end of this week it will be posted so that we can download it. Here's a link to the audio room on the WMGK website.

I'm sorry. I thought she was doing a lot of interviews.

Debbie Calton called her in England, she definitely wasn't in town I don't think.

She talked about the album, the songs, she spoke about leaving FM and how she left after the Dance, how it wasn't sudden. She spoke about the Inaugeration, which started everything up again...she sounded good and was very nice to Debbie.

It's a nice interview. Debbie Calton puts everything up. I know she speaks about being a wife and mom too so I guess it takes awhile to put these things up, but she will.:)

Christine's interview with Debbi Calton has now been posted on WMGK's website. The interview is just over 10 minutes long. There are 3 MP3's. Just right click each MP3 & save target as. Then enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up! That was a pretty good interview. She always seems so upbeat, she puts me in a good mood. :)

I didn't realize Dan was 38! He looks younger.

What song is she talking about cutting around, I think the Clinton performance - she talks about how they could not use the Rumors one. Is she talking about Don't Stop - it sounds like she is saying Don't Stop. I thought they did that live for the inauguration. Am I out of my head here

Yeah, she said they re-cut Don't Stop. I don't really understand why they had to do that.....? Maybe all the times the song was played at different conventions etc they used the 're-cut version'? Maybe they made the ending chorus drag out longer...

I know when Kerry had U2's 'Beautiful Day' playing at his convention, the song was a bit different than the original- so i guess that was re-cut too!

That's what I thought too. She also hinted that he might be interested in doing something else in music again.

I always thought that they had done "Don't Stop" live at President Clinton's inauguration.
