I know. We knew she was bat crazy during her coke years but OMG its hysterical how coked out everyone else was staying up all night yet they were the ones tired and wanting to go to bed. Each did their best to give her hints to go home. OMG, the stories that limo driver could tell LMAO. What's up with taking off and on her jewelry and leaving it all over the house?

I can just hear her playing chop sticks all night and Joe telling his girlfriend..... oh no.. not Rhiannon again.

Then Stevie playing songs from her new album.......Its alright baby, I'm doing the best that I can......over and over till 6 am.

JOE PLEASE TELL HER TO GO HOME. WE NEED SLEEP!

She can't blame the drugs for that and they even said they didn't think she was on coke. Just look at her now and she is supposedly sober. I think that spacey thing worked for her in the early years but not so much for a 70 yo. Also, I don't think that she ever said Lindsey was the love of her life, she just used him to further her career and he was really nice to look at. It was (supposedly) Joe and Mick that were the loves of her life, although that can change depending on her current tall tale. People on this board are bad to dish Joe because he said something about her but they BOTH were toxic in that relationship.

Harry Styles recently told a story very similar to this, so things haven't changed much,

True but the drugs definitely make her wackier. In 1990 Joe Walsh was on Rockline and a caller asked Joe to tell his Stevie Nicks Kentucky Fried Chicken story. Joe told a very embarrassing story about Stevie. They were at the Prince video premier (of some video). They were all around the TV and a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial came on before the video. It was the mid 80s commercial when a pack of cub scouts come marching into the restaurant demanding chicken done right. Stevie thought that commercial was the Prince video. Once she was told it was not the video, she could not stop laughing. Seriously. Cocaine does not make you that stupid so there had to be more drugs or something.
In Mick's first book, he writes Stevie dropped acid in Hawaii and had to pick him up at the airport. Stevie and her friend (forget who it was with her) kept driving and could not find the airport and Mick was stranded.

There seems to be many of these crazy stories. I think she's a bit wacky but drugs make it worse.

I think she's a card carrying idiot without drugs. Add drugs to THAT, and you've got a humongous mess on your hands.

I could definitely ride around the airport and not pick someone up. I don’t do drugs. I just am not good at following directions, especially at an airport where there are 10 different arrows at the same time: departures, arrivals, car rental, etc.

But remember when she said Robin was in the hospital (on her way to death) and Stevie kept taking her own temperature and giggling?

I read the excerpt of her book and she said Stevie came to the house and wouldn't leave. For some reason, I thought it was when she drove to his house with Rock a Little and she said the evening went so badly, he put her in her limo and she was sobbing and crying and she said well, go ahead tell the world. I think she was telling the story of "Long way to go". But this would have been a few years later. I'm guessing 1991? Oh yes, the Kolonopin years.

Yes. She mentions Stevie had straight hair and there is a photo from the book posted in the video of her playing piano at Joe's house and he is on acoustic guitar. So this was around the recording of TOSOTM 1988 probably.

The limo to Joe's house was right as she finished RAL and Stevie tells the story as him taking her album and she was humiliated and told herself that she would never allow a man to treat herself like that again. So that story is 1985.

I love how she went on a date with Joe and his girlfriend and had stuff stuck in her hair. Its just so odd.

I feel like the years between 1986 to 1994 were really bad ones for her. To even go to dinner with Joe after he treated her badly. And to hang out at his house and not leave. Weird. I think she was very lonely and isolated during this time. I am glad she came through it ok.

During those years, she was a shell of her former self. But she also turned in some amazing vocals. “Blue Denim” remains one of my favorites of hers. And the two new songs on TIMESPACE were excellent. So, she never wholly lost her ability. But she lost perspective and time and was basically in a really bad space.

A lot of us fall into bad spaces when we fall in love with men who don't return the feelings. I wasted 5 good years of my life doing that. Stevie had probably never been used to having a man treat her as casually as Joe Walsh did. Dealing with the loss of him while struggling with her addictions at the same time must have made the entire 1980's (after 1983) seem like a nightmare for her.

We are in the far minority liking the Timespace new songs. We should start a club and be the only members ;)

Now back to Stevie's wild weirdness. Joe Walsh was so out of control in the 1980s that few could have accepted this or went along with it. It shows how she was also out of control. In the late 80s he would go on Stern in the morning and pass out drunk while on the air. He was a mess.

The Dave Stewart story from 1983 is also really weird to bring him to her house and just leave him in bed while she and her girls kept trying on clothes all night giggling in the bathroom. Which brings me to one of my favorite photos. Has everyone seen the photo of Dave Stewart sitting on her bed coked out of his mind and there is a typewriter in the middle of the bed and Stevie is sitting on the edge of the bed looking back at the camera. Those 2 look as if they did not sleep for days. I always wondered if this was from the night/morning Joe Walsh showed up and "Dont Come round here no more" was born lol

What a wild life. I love these stories though.
