LSU, you should thank us for softening up
those Gators for you. Get ready, here it comes... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
Kentucky goes down 54 - 3 to South Carolina continuing its winless conference run.
|
Well, I see that Bama is indeed on a roll....
Huskers damn near lost last weekend and would have had Ohio State's QB been able to finish the game. And when they played Wisconsin? That was downright painful. Still JWS...can Kentucky hold a candle to CU, who is 1-5 ??? AND, just suspended 5 players indefinitely for breaking team rules... Embree says he ain't sticking around for 5 years with a bunch of losers.... Ah...college football...gotta love it..... |

But the NFL is killing me. My Dolphins stink. They need to clean house from top to bottom. Even the owner needs to go. And Tim Tebow finally gets his chance. But it's against my Dolphins! Rats!!! |

I'm looking forward to going to the Stanford v USC game at the Coliseum on 10/29. If you've never been there, the Los Angeles Coliseum is a national historical landmark like Michigan Stadium and Notre Dame. It's very old, but home to two Olympic Games and USC going back to the 20's. I'm always good for at least one game a year there. You walk through that tunnel to the field and it's just awesome with 95,000 seats. I know LSU, Ohio State and Michigan have similar or better fan experience. |
Ole Miss hasn't got a chance.
Say it with me... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
I LOVED seeing K-State remain undefeated!!!
http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...els/snyder.jpg And.....what is it that I hear? The second-ranked Crimson Tide hosts the Volunteers at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...bbels/bama.jpg Do I hear a "Roll Tide" somewhere on the Ledge? |

words in a few days. Poor Vols. |
There have GOT to be other college football fans out there....
How's come they are silent this season? Is the 'Bama thread intimidating them? I get all excited on Thursday. I get on the computer and google "college football on tv" I find the only printer that has ink left in it, print and start highlighting... Tonight I get the TV to myself so I'm gonna look for Arizona vs. UCLA If the Colorado game isn't being televised, then I head out to the garage to listen to the game on the only radio I have in captivity. (Looks like I'll be listening to Oregon this week.) Hey, iamnotafraid....who else do you watch besides BAMA? |
Quote:
Betsy we seem to have a bunch of chickens as members of the Ledge. Few if any have stood up for their teams. I think you might be right, the BAMA thread is intimidating them. I watch mostly SEC games. Though I'll watch any game if the teams are ranked high. Not to mention my STINKING Miami Dolphins. |
Wow....that UCLA-Arizona game was WILD! ( I started a thread on it.)
They had a fake ref who turned out to be a streaker...then all mayhem broke loose. I was holding my granddaughter (who is two) and trying to see the TV. We have an instant rewind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAXiiruf1kQ I am excited about tomorrow's games... |
Sorry Elvis, we now own the State of Tennessee.
Say it loud... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
I almost feel sorry for LSU.

CLASH OF THE TITANS -- NOVEMBER 5th !
But we gotta wait a week..... As Tom Petty sings..."The waiiiiting is the harrrrdest parrrrt..." http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...su_gameday.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...meday_back.jpg Meanwhile...I am still in awe of this guy..... Huskers take on Michigan State next Saturday....YIKES. GO BURKHEAD! http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x.../burk-colo.jpg And what say ye, ye little people of CU Football? Poor bastards have lost 7 games and won one.... There ain't no more gold in them, that hills! God bless you Embree....we hope you stick around. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...e90f2fc90b.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...jon-embree.jpg |
How horrible it must be to be an LSU fan.
But no mercy for the weak. I'll give you guys the score before the game this Saturday. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
Saw this posted on FB by a big LSU Fan....
  Roll Tide Roll. Around the bowl & down the hole!  However, people around the office here are saying Bama by 3. |
Quote:
be that close at the end. I predict that in the first half LSU might keep it relatively close. But in the second half BAMA's defence and Trent Richardson are going to pound LSU. Final score... BAMA 31 - LSU 17 ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |

I'd like to comment further but I'm busy eating humble pie. The season is not over yet!!! |
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light, And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout; But there is no joy in Mudville - mighty Casey has struck out. Crap, Crap, Crap. Huskers lost to Norwestern! -- (And my hero Rex Burkhead fumbled! I love you Rex Burkhead, even if you fumbled! ) Kansas State lost to Oklahoma State! (Where are you Brian J?) Bama lost to LSU And --- Rick Neuheisel and UCLA beat Arizona State!!! There is no joy in Mudville.... |

Mighty BAMA might have a second chance to bat. Stay tuned... Same BAMA time... Same BAMA channel... |
iamnotafraid gave me permission to discuss all things college football in this thread....therefore....
Sooooooo..... "JoePa" and all this news.... http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...bbels/joeP.jpg I wonder what that will do to the NU game.....Huskers play Penn State this weekend. (GO BURKHEAD!) http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/burkhead.jpg Meanwhile CU plays Arizona and I predict Arizona to have between 40 and 50 points... to CU's 14...STILL....if it's on TV....I'm watchin' it. Go Buffs... My favorite player is Jon Major - defense - middle linebacker.... (#31 is easy to spot too, with all those curls sticking out behind his helmet....) http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x7/ewgubbels/JM.jpg |

Not even counting this most embarrassing incident, Paterno has needed to go for years. Though I've never been a fan, Penn State deserves much better. Even with this horrible sex abuse scandal JoePa wanted to stay until the end of this season. Is he really that clueless? Is it just Ego? Growing up there seemed to be three teams that meant college football (though I only liked one): 1. Alabama. 2. Notre Dame. 3. Penn State. Now, Penn State will forever have this stain on them. I hope they clean house. If they don't control the riots they'll be looked at even worse, if that's possible. |
ChiliD --- Be still my heart!!
Huskers are playing them at State College....and the media coverage is gonna be similar to a Bowl Game.... I hope that the energy is a positive one. (Did you see the beer cups thrown at Eddie Royal when he hit the end zone at the Broncos-Raiders game on Sunday???) What is more interesting...(in the Nebraska vs. Penn State game) .....is that the also fired Graham Spanier (Penn State President) used to be the Chancellor of UNL from 91-95... While exercising this morning, the TV at the fitness club was showing the student protesters at Penn State. So, they love their coach....but what about the sex abuse issue? Just because Joe didn't do it, he's still in the picture... and the administration has to do something to show they are taking this seriously...and get media focus that they ARE doing something... I think back on USC (Pete Carrol) and Ohio State (Jim Tressel) and Texas Tech (Mike Leach)....I suppose all things are forgotten in time because something bigger (and more scandalous) has occurred... And maybe JoePa will find a place in the pro's.....he's got a few more years left in him.... (Smile) |
Update....
:shrug::shrug:There was an interesting conversation on the radio at noon. The discussion was centered around coaching staffs in general, especially those who have worked closely together for years. When in a work environment where you are around the same people for as much as 16 hours a day....you know who's hitting the bottle....who had had what for dinner, etc. The panel discussing the Penn State situation felt that for Joe not to know, was incredible.:shrug::shrug: |
Nobody on this board, probably cares but...I wanted to let any lurking college football fans to know the latest.
Huskers vs Penn State may be the most bizarre football game ever. Tom Osborne has advised Husker fans NOT to wear red clothes to the game. What is going to happen with the crowd is uncertain and probably has the Penn State police scared to death. It could be real ugly or it could be passive. No one knows, so I will definitely be watching this one from start to finish. |

Oh yeah... ROLL TIDE ROLL! Boring? Yes, but still a win on the way to another National Championship. |
Miserable Kentucky dropped another SEC loss. This time by 30 to lowly Vanderbilt. Next loss to Georgia with mascot bulldog "Russ" subbing for Uga.

TIM TEBOW
This young man deserves his own thread. |
WELL WELL WELL...
Thank you Iowa ST. BAMA is back!!! Say it with me ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
I KNEW I heard you screaming when Okahoma State lost last Friday night.... (Sorry BrianJ....)
I said....'What is that noise? Either iamnotafraid found a snake that he IS afraid of, or BAMA just leap frogged its way back to the BCS." Like a cat with 9 lives....BAMA is back... http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...ls/cat-pom.jpg |

HA! You know me too well. And you're right BAMA is back! We're going to declaw those kittens this weekend. And those famous three words are coming later this week. |
A show of hands to how many are tired of this thread?
Too bad for you! The Tide just keeps ROLLING. It is as I have foreseen. The BCS is now ours for the taking. LSU might lay down in the SEC Championship Game, just so they won't have to play us. That would be a shame, because we want those Tigers. Tigers are becoming an endangered species around these parts after today. That was a beat down. Here's the future folks: BAMA wins the BCS Championship and makes it an even 14. Trent Richardson wins the Heisman Trophy. And we all live happily ever after. Say it with me... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! |
After 26 consecutive losses to Tennessee, Kentucky finally knocked off the Vols 10-7 Delirious fans stormed the field in celebration!
