Crash-course needed

Thanks a million Popmuseum! Very nice of you to have found all the links so all we have to do is 'click'! It will be interesting to hear.

I will have to spend some time brushing up my german, though.

Ms Moose

You're welcome.

There's no need to spend some time brushing up your german, Moose, there's just gonna be 20-21 minutes music of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and 5-6 minutes talking about Peter Green's time with Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. - Everything best known yet.

Ms Moose 08-06-2008 05:07 PM

I will drop crash-course...

Oh well, I will have a go at it anyway and relay on my school-german for the five minutes of talking!

Are you in any way involved in this since you know about the broadcast, Popmuseum?

On the other hand you are right - there's is seldom any new information coming out.

"The Green God" connecting people

It seems "The Green God" is connecting the English and German speaking world nowadays. At least some are brushing up their English just to talk a little about Peter Green, others are brushing up their German to listen to Austrian Radio-Broadcasts. :)

Yes, I'm involved in this "Peter Green"-feature. Since the music of "The Green God" is not very well known in Austria anymore, I thought there should be a "Peter Green"-feature. That's why i'm going to play five or six of his songs on the Austrian Radio and tell a little bit about his music and his life (The problem is you can't tell a lot in 5 or 6 minutes). But I'll try.

Foreseeable / estimated Tracklist

*) Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac: Albatross
*) Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac: Black Magic Woman
*) Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac: Jumping at Shadows
*) Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac: Man of the world
*) Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac: Need Your Love So Bad
*) Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac: The Green Manalishi

I hope the feature will be interesting to hear. Green's music is interesting anyway. :)

Best wishes

Great initiative

That's one hell of a great initiative, Popmuseum! A very good idea. I also think you have chosen all the right numbers to play to people who has not heard of Peter Green before - and the ones who do will love listening to them once again. It must have been difficult though choosing them because there is so many fantastic songs.

No, five minutes is not a lot of time - especially when you talk about something that you are really engaged in. But with engagement and great music you can't go wrong!

I wish you all the luck in the world with your project.:wavey:

Thanks

Yes, it was very difficult choosing those 5 - 6 songs, because Peter Green recorded so many fantastic songs.

Thank you very much for your friendly posting.

Congratulations!

That was a very good show Popmuseum! Congratulations. You must have worked a lot with the text, because it was very precise and to the point. I didn't have trouble with the german at all. Great thanks!

What an AMAZING version of Jumping At Shadows! It seems more aggressive than the one from The Teaparty/Boston CD. Where is that version from?

Once again it is clear to me how good Green was - and a fantastic singer too. Hope a lot of austrians have listened.

I spent a lot of time comparing the different version of "Jumping At Shadows" and chose the "Man of the world. The Anthology. 1968-1988 "-version, which comes from the "Live in Boston. Vol.3"-CD. - I like this version a lot.
