Interesting. And Lindsey is doing an event at the end of the month. He probably could squeeze it in because the musicians will all have been rehearsed already.

If they're doing something corporate, I wish we could at least know what it was. Guess there are no hard feelings about her earlier words regarding touring with Stevie solo.

This IS interesting... I remember when Jana was saying she wouldn't be touring with SN that she was still part of the backup singers for FM.

Yeah, when I first posted the topic her message was just posted 40 minutes ago.We never got the entire story. But she announced how she would no longer be touring with Stevie. The main drama we got was that she was upset because she found out she wouldn't be touring with Stevie, not through Stevie or her management, but from the other band mates who heard the news and unknowingly became the first to break the news of her own termination to her.

Unless its for some quick casino gigs for quick cash, it doesn't make any sense. No way FM fronts a full-fledged arena tour in early '11, Stevie album implications or otherwise.

Unless Jana is drunken FB posting, it is current. FB status shows it was posted by her "about an hour ago" now.

Hmm. How bizarre.

If it was a corporate gig, I would think it would have leaked by now. Maybe someone rich and/or famous is getting married, or some fancy private party.

This Oct date has kinda been floating around since maybe early August... But no concrete info has ever surfaced about it... Actually, first it was a date in August, a corp gig on the east coast, and it made sense cause Stevie was doing some shows... As it turns out it was a corp gig in Aug but only Stevie and not on the east coast, but in Las Vegas. Then the Oct date surfaced again, and somewhere along the way I heard mention of Australia...

A week of singing backup seems like a lot of rehearsal for just one show somewhere... maybe not.

I could be stretching here, but, if my foggy old brain recalls correctly, I think it's the Hope Estates Winery in NSW, Australia- west of Sydney. I could only imagine the kind of sick money they are getting paid for this gig. It's one thing if Fleetwood Mac was already on tour. And it's another thing if Fleetwood Mac was already in Australia. Obviously neither is the case. Apparently the money justifies a week of rehearsals (and awkwardness between Stevie and Jana), as well as flying equipment, crew and band members halfway around the world; this is more than just a hop across the pond. And Stevie, who is in the midst of doing her own thing at the moment, really can't be bothered unless she is making serious bank.

I think it would be interesting to keep tabs on whether or not she does show up at the Melbourne Cup.

This IS like awesome!! Maybe a new Mac tour already! :O but isn't Stevie's solo tour going first?? as the album will be released in march? Or what? I'm a bit confused..but anyway, good news!! XD

All i can say is that this sounds really exciting, i hope they come back to Australia, that would be really awesome!!!

I'd love to see Stevie go to the Melbourne Cup again, she might wear something different for once:D

Ha... no, that was something else entirely. For some reason I recall the date of the gig as October 19 and the location as Hope Estate.

BTW, that songkick website should be sued for causing angina unnecessarily. They have a couple of "Fleetwood Mac" concerts upcoming in Portugal in November. Turns out it's actually "Rumours of Fleetwood Mac." :rolleyes: I have always wanted to (pack a crate of vegan meals and) visit Portugal!
