Perth Concerts 11th & 12th December
Ok so given that the Perth concerts haven't rated much of a mention I'm guessing there aren't too Perthites (sandgropers) on here?
I'm dragging my wife off tomorrow night, although it looks like parking will be an absolute nightmare but public transport really doesn't work at that time of night and given we live so far away from ME Bank stadium. We are right at the back so I won't even bother taking my camera but at least we will be there. My wife is threatening to take her iPod  |
I'm a fellow WA man! These will be the last two shows of the five I'm seeing! From what I've seen they should be crackers!

Add a couple of more sandgropers to that LEDGER list, 'chrisksn'. We are all heading off to to-night's show (Really glad we picked tonight's show temperature in Perth today is 33 and tomorrow it's 37) One ledger coming with us is Nicki (missilversprings) who went to Green Day last Friday, and confessed that she was looking more forward to FM than Green Day. As for seating, the last WACA ("SYW" & "Stevie -John Farnham)concerts, you had terrific acoustics and seating, but Member's Equity Bank Stadium, don't really know:shrug: we're grouped into Block A3 Row EE somewhere on Lindsey's side (the better side) lol:thumbsup: All have a great time, you hear... for sure!! for sure!!! woop  woop:lol:

Probably Lindsey... ;) |
Did anyone catch the picture of Stevie in today's west australian? A rather unflattering picture of her shopping on kings street!

Just got back from the first night, and the show was amazing as i expected. Stevie has really improved her vocals from the first two Melbourne shows, she was hitting higher notes in Sydney but tonight she went for broke! and it was amazing best Gold Dust Woman of the tour! Lindsey was my hero as usual i never tire of watching him! a few technical issues on GYOW i figured his guitar was in the wrong tuning and they were waiting for his tech to grab another MDL 1, so they were just building on the drums and bass. Stan was working his pedal board so possibly the wrong lead was plugged in? Any-who they started and the guitar was definitely out of tune but he adjusted accordingly and to tell you the truth was the most honest piece of musicianship i have seen on the tour and it was the best GYOW i have seen also! i was very proud of my hometown crowd they were loving it and the band could tell! i'll report back tomorrow, i have second row tickets tomorrow and its my last show! so i'm pumped to say the least!:]

Just got back, brilliant show, everyone seemed to be up and dancing and lots of younger people there loving it.
The band were fantastic, the songs were great, couldn't fault any of it. Loved Lindsey doing Oh Well, glad to see a nod to the past. Oh and a couple of random things... Despite it being a no smoking venue someone near us was smoking pot, and we kept getting the smell drifting across. Plus the woman sitting next to my wife kept getting up and down constantly, getting more drinks (spilling drinks) etc. Grr...do people have to be so annoying? A bit of excitement behind us was about 8-10 security guards rushing around, charging up the stairs, etc. We expected it to be a full on fight or something but no, two ladies were very calmly escorted out. Weird. |
