I think having the hair upswept for a song or two is nice and adds a certain mood or drama, if used sparingly, but generally her hair seems best when it’s down and flowing.

I've always associated that hairdo (and the red cloak) with the song 'Sara'.

Not a fan I'm afraid. Not on the Gibson girls, and not on Stevie either.

I used to have several porcelain Gibson girl dolls and I loved the hair style on them.

I liked it! But I think I’ve seen it more in photos than I did at the concerts.

She looks like Mrs. Garrett on The Facts of Life.

I think Linda Ronstadt sported the look for a while as well.

I always figured she found it a stylish way to get all that hair up off her neck onstage where it gets really hot and sweaty. I like the Gibson Girl better than when she pulled the back into a ratty low ponytail.
