HBO Go and the demise of traditional cable

Anyone else excited about HBO Go? My spouse and I have already decided that we are signing up for it and cancelling our cable as soon as it is possible to do so.

I've been wanting a'la carte cable access for years and years, and it looks like this is the *beginning* of what I am predicting will be the demise of traditional cable TV packaging.

I don't really watch much TV as it is, and my spouse watches entirely TOO MUCH television, so this is a win-win for me.

I got rid of the expanded cable years ago when most of the shows turned up online free including HBO shows.

I only get the local channels for about $30 bucks.I cant dump cable altogether because TV reception sucks here after the BS DTV switchover in 2009.

I agree with a'la carte cable access .Who needs tons of channels I dont watch.

PS.I did signed up with extended cable only when Stevie was on Oprah's OWN channel.I dropped it a week later.
