i was able to download it off youtube and open it in the vlc media player, but i have no clue how to rip the sound off of this from this point. anyone have any wise ideas?

I can make an MP3 of this later today if someone doesn't beat me to it.

i use the site http://file2hd.com/ . in this case, i put the youtube url for the video in the box. click "movies" as the file type you wish to download. it'll generate the actual youtube source for the flv file, so from there it's just right click save as.

to be honest, i'm not really sure what a flv is, so i'm glad vlc opened it on the first try. :laugh: i'm curious as to if youtube converts them all to flv... i wonder if someone uploads say a .mov, .mpg, or whatever else if it will download in that format. hmmm!
