Everywhere and You Make Loving Fun should have been on this list. |

Billboard missed a prime opportunity to include "Thoughts on a Grey Day".

I’m thrilled Fleetwood Mac got a song on the list. Pretty impressive, and it’s a high number, too! Should it have been You Make Loving Fun instead? Maybe. Should it have been Go Your Own Way? Probably. Does it matter? Not to me. As far as I’m concerned, Christine and Lindsey are on the list because they are Fleetwood Mac.

Agreed. Dreams came on the radio the other day after I saw this post and I thought that is one great song. Musically , all three voices. It’s a great song that still sounds current. |
As I said in the Best rock singers thread at Stevie's forum, IMO these lists are not to be taken as absolute truths, and I usually check them just to enjoy, cause at the end it's not big deal. But let's face it, it's nice to find your favorite song or artists there.
Now what's the meaning of "best pop song"? If it means the most pop, I guess Dreams deserves to be in the list. If it means the song with the best quality, there are several FM songs I would choose, but pop means popular, commercial, accessible. And there are lot of bands with songs far more popular than Fleetwood Mac. |

But seriously, if they're going to pick "Dreams" (as opposed to say, "Rhiannon,") there's no reason they couldn't pick an equally ubiquitous pop song from Christine. |
