John Mayall tribute album w/Peter?

Mario (or anyone),

Know anything about this?

From January 2003 (issue number 190) of ICE Magazine:

Debbie Davies offers a February 18 salute to one of her mentors with "Tribute to John Mayall" (due on Shanachie). Joining her on songs either written by or associated with Mayall are James Cotton and former Bluesbreakers guitarist PETER GREEN (FLEETWOOD MAC) and Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones).

Now, I figured that they are saying "written by or associated with Mayall" as they don't know yet if Greeny is PLAYING on the album or if it's just a COVER of a Greeny song.

I'd imagine that Taylor didn't do much writing while with the Bluesbreakers so I'm guessing he's the one playing on the record and it just includes a cover of a PG tune would be the thing that "connects" Peter to this release but I figured I'd ask here just to be sure.

So, if anyone knows anything further about this, please do post about it here! Thanks in advance. :)

Since Peter contributed to the "Along For The Ride" album, it's not unimaginable that he'd also contribute to this, too.

Yeah, I guess, and I'm sure HOPING Peter plays on it but I just thought it was strange that they used 2 names (PG & Taylor) and had 2 explanations as to what the connections would be (writing & performing) and since Green probably did more writing than Taylor back in the Bluesbreaker days...

...but hopefully we can find out for definite soon somehow. (hint to anyone with info on this!) :)

Back in 1998 at the Long Beach Blues Festival, we were treated not only to a great set by the Splinter Group, but a great "British Blues All-Stars Jam"

Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Kim Simmonds, Nigel Watson, Ronnie Earl, Buddy Whittington-guitars
Peter Stroud (Splitner Group)-bass
Joe Yuele & Jim McCarty (Yardbirds)-drums
Keith Emerson-organ
John Mayall-vocals, electric piano

So, there's precidence for Mick & Peter playing together with Mayall. ;)
