Okkervil River cover of "The Chain"
 

Love Okkervil River-- It is good to see one of my favorite modern bands covering my favorite band ever. :)

My sentiments entirely, on both counts. :)

I like Okkervil River but that version is god awful.

Agreed. On both counts. I only made it through the first verse and my ears started bleeding.

Oh my sweet lord... They should have renamed it into "The Shame".

I think they were wasted? LOL And not doing an official show - the guy who sent it to me said this:

"It's pretty awesome - my friend was there and hanging out with them - Will and others who did FM covers all night."

I love okkervil river and I think they were wasted and I totally loved this version. They totally crashed it. but with the right energy. I don't know, I kinda enjoy this kind of butch-ups. Thanks livia! Cool find!
