Dropped silver springs
 

i heard they dropped it?

If they haven't, maybe they need to.
I'm very concerned based on this capture... (6/19)
seems painful...she is making vocal adjustments, but are they enough?
If it isn't SS bringing her to this, maybe they need to remove another song that is?
Note the throat clutch she makes @ 6:16 after she croaks a little...not good.
I hope we don't find more cancellations in the future due to throat issues.

I think "on and off" would be the best way to describe the presence of Silver Springs in the setlist since the first date in the tour that it was dropped.

I think it is a very good song of FM. But i dont think it is a good song to end a concert with. Perhaps it will do fine after " I'm so afraid " in the setlist they have now.......

Yikes... we haven't heard such flat, unadventurous vocals from her since the Behind The Mask era! Glad to hear her vocals recovered later though... ouch!

Yeah you could tell she was even struggling through Gypsy in some parts in Nashville. She was just very hoarse in Nashville, I think she's ready for a major break. Oddly enough though, Silver Springs has been the best since the Dance tour for the majority of the tour, it's just lately she's been truly struggling with it.

so do you think this is left over from the illness or are her vocal chords just tired from the schedule? maybe a mixture of both? I hope her throat isn't hurting her too much :(

First of all, this is my first ever post on The Ledge. Whoohooo!

Okay, I'm worried too. I think any faultiness in her voice is attributed to touring. They're typically playing two nights on, one night off when Stevie plays two on, two off on her solo tours. When I met Mick Fleetwood at the Oakland show on May 20th, he said that Stevie is having a big issue with the lack of down time.

I think it's affecting her voice more than anything-- and her stamina on stage. Although she's done a pretty good job faking it, she definitely has her more energetic nights.

In May, her voice was phenomenal the entire night-- this was after a week long break since they cancelled a show a few days prior. Hmmmm.

We really won't have to worry about Stevie's voice - they just have 2 more shows and then get the whole summer (and some of the fall) off.

Yep, that's true :) And then they're off to Europe and we'll probably see a change!! Hope so! Stevie rocks!!

oh yes let's not worry about stevie...out of sight out of mind :rolleyes:

I guess I just took that comment to mean that we don't have to worry too much because they have several months off now and hopefully some rest is what Stevie is in need of at this point.

I'm pretty sure Stevie has been saying for years that this particular song is really hard on her voice. I think even on the last tour she said she can't do Silver Springs AND Stand Back on the same setlist.
