Seeing them live when Christine made her cameo appearances. Screamed my lungs out.

Lindsey showing up for the BTM shows. Cried my eyes out.

The Dance. When I first got it I watched that DVD so often. I mean multiple times in the same day.

The Mirage tour never came to Pittsburgh (unfortunately). You must have seen them somewhere else.

1. My first concert Stevie Nicks and Joe Walsh. It was a bomb of a concert but everyone cherishes their first concert and the impact it had on them.
2. Christine solo. Such a rare event and probably the best concert I have seen in my life.
3. 1987 live. The first time seeing them live but without Lindsey.
4. On With the Show. Never thought I would hear Songbird live again. Had great seats and it was a surreal moment.
5. Buck/Vie show. What a treat to have Chris and Lindsey do shows together.

I loved the Dance concert as a reunion and loved Silver Springs. I watched it so many times that when I saw them live for the Dance, it was just like the video. It was so scripted and the band was playing more like a studio than that raw arena rock sound. As much as I pinched myself this was happening seeing them all 5 on the stage...... I still think the Farewell concerts of 1990 were better than any show the Dance had to offer.

2 honorable mentions: Shaking BOTH Stevie's hands in 1998 during Edge Walk while she stared down at my wife beater that read "Rock Hard" (she had a very curious look) and meeting Lindsey and shaking his hand in 2018. I also got to strum his guitar at the end of GYOW. All of my life I always watched from afar with the lucky ones during Stevie's edge walk and Lindsey's guitar strum. I never thought my entire life that I would ever get to be one of those people.

I think we “met” here several years ago but yes isn’t that weird.😎

1. My BuckinghamNicks album
2. Seeing Stevie live for the first time in Pittsburgh during the Wild Heart tour
3. Seeing the OG 5 for the first time in Pittsburgh for The Dance Tour
4. Flying to Vegas for the first time to see Stevie live at Caeser's Palace. (very dissapointed except for Beauty and the Beast)
5. Getting "almost" front row in front of Lindsey during the 2009 tour. I didn't expect to be so blown away by him as I was. Made me a bigger fan.

BLY, I was at the Philly shows in 82 and 97 as well. The 82 show was my first live concert and my all-time favorite. Still remember the crowd exploding as they took the stage. Blown away by Lindsey's performance. So much energy.

That is so cool. the Mirage tour was so amazing. Everyone was so pumped to see the band live again and they didn’t disappoint. I was also a big fan of Men at Work the opening act.

1-Tusk tour when I was in 7th grade. I was a CRAZED fan back then, and ate up every note.

2-Mirage Tour, 5th row center. Them at their best.

3-Meeting about 5 Ledgies from here, about 10 years ago. We had get togethers for several years, and we're all still friends, and keep in touch.

4-Christine's return. She showed that old goat that $he wasn't the only heroine in FM.

5- BuckVie. What a great swan song for the band. The loves of my life, minus that annoying goat! Talk about a win win!!!!

1. Saw Lindsey in Ithaca the night after Bob Welch’s suicide. It was a great show and at the end, my friend and I just walked right up to the stage. As Lindsey was leaving he saw my hand extended, turned and gripped it. I squeezed and he squeezed back.

2. Having a Q&A exchange with Bob Weston (where I got to tell him I thought he was handsome) and two Q&A exchanges with Bob Welch. Those old Penguin Q&As were excellent.

3. My Bare Trees and Mystery songbooks. Love working through them on the piano.

4. Watching Stevie sing “Silver Springs” on the televised Dance special. I, like everyone else in the audience, spontaneously stood up and cheered when it was done....it, to me, was a triumphant moment beyond anything I had been expecting.

5. First hearing Out of the Cradle and In the Meantime respectively. Both of these solo projects featured the artists at their best and featured songs of such high quality that validated their status as musicians, singers, and writers.

I totally forgot about "talking" with Bob Welch on his site. That should have totally made my top five. I left Nashville the morning that he took his life. I got back to my other home and heard the news. It was a surreal day...:(

Macfan4life 08-30-2020 05:52 AM

When I look back on Bob's site, its one of my biggest regrets not sending him a message or participating in his online Q&A chats. WTF was I thinking. I was not a member here then but sort of remember coming here in those early days. You could buy his autographed CD's on his site. If you read those in depth interviews, it will blow your mind. I love the story of him stating he ran into Lindsey shortly after he joined FM and Lindsey confiding in him how toxic they all were.

Anyway, I forgot to mention my biggest treasures of the band and the reason I became a big fan......the HBO Mirage tour concert. I think it debuted on HBO in February 1983. I became hypnotized and recorded the concert from the TV to my tape recorder. LMAO (I was 12)
I even wrote a several page hand written letter to HBO executives asking them to air the concert again. Believe it or not but I got a nice return letter that talked about how popular some of their concerts are and it was "possible" the concert could return. It never did LOL. I have to laugh because I am trying to remember everything I wrote to them about in my long letter. It would be so funny if I ever kept a copy or something.
In 1982-1983 HBO had some amazing concerts....all the big acts touring at that time had HBO concerts....Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Men at Work, Pat Benatar, Donna Summer, Olivia Newton John, Dolly Parton, Blondie, etc. I remember them all.
