Three months into the BuckMcVie..........

After three months of having this Fleetwood Mac gem what it your favorite track?
Just one and is probably the one you BLAST when you play it.

RED SUN.

FuzzyPlum 09-17-2017 01:40 PM

On With the Show...

Lets get on, lets get on, lets get on, lets get on, lets get on, lets get on....

Macfan4life 09-17-2017 03:25 PM

Its really hard to pick a favorite. The CD is still in my car and anywhere I drive, its on in the car. I was listening to Red Sun yesterday and had the line dancers in my head ;)
I like Red Sun, Too Far Gone, Sleeping Around the Corner, Carnival Begin, In my world all about the same.

Bad..You are not playing nice. One song!

bombaysaffires 09-17-2017 04:54 PM

Red Sun, and the chorus to Carnival Begin

nicepace 09-17-2017 06:10 PM

Carnival Begin.

I like all the songs, but this is the one that gives me the shivers. It's so personal, all about Chris' return to the bright lights.

Roxy 09-17-2017 06:40 PM

It used to be Too Far Gone when the album first came out, but it quickly became Red Sun. And before the album came out, it was definitely Sleeping Around The Corner.

jbrownsjr 09-17-2017 07:35 PM

Carnival Begin and Too Far Gone are my favorites.

I blast the whole thing, though.

This is my opinion exactly. Two a-typical songs from Christine McVie.

I wish they would play CB live.

HomerMcvie 09-17-2017 10:16 PM

I played the whole thing for three friends today(on a road trip), that had never heard it...

Anyway, OWTS, and Too Far Gone are favorites. I actually love them all, except for Lay Down For Free, and Love Is Here To Stay. They're tolerable, but meh. LDFF sounds like a damned drum machine, and not Mick.

I was under the assumption that it was a drum machine. Isn't Red sun and a couple of others too? Love is Here to stay is one of my faves...different strokes.

LDFF is the only one that drives me crazy, that the drums sound so FAKE. Douchewhore or not, Mick really does make the songs he plays on a LOT better. It's palpable.

LIHTS is okay. I'm just sick of his same old fingerpicking "signature songs".

NotonRodeo 09-18-2017 07:23 AM

Love is Here To Stay is crisp, bright, and beautiful.

Lay Down For Free is boring and sounds like a metronome.

elle 09-18-2017 08:16 AM

Love is here to stay and Lay down for free were early favorites for me and stayed to this day.

Red sun is huge fun in the car. And I love verses to On with the show. Too far gone is one of the favorites live and always brings down the house for them.

The only two songs I still skip almost every time are In my world and Game of pretend.

sue 09-18-2017 08:36 AM

Too far gone.....still my favourite.
Red Sun, was on BBC radio2 all the time so got it bored
with it!!

StreetAngel95 09-18-2017 08:45 AM

I adore Too Far Gone - to me it sounds like the sister song of World Turning (the guitar riff, the rhythm, even the melody of "maybe I'll move to the other side of town") and my ultimate goal would be for them to do a mashup of the two on their next tour.

Wishful thinking...

StevieandChris 09-18-2017 08:45 AM

My three favorites seem to rotate and take turns..right now it's Too Far Gone.

jbrownsjr 09-18-2017 03:46 PM

Christine and Lindsey have some really tight harmonies. Especially, on Too Far Gone.

On Ice 09-18-2017 07:17 PM

This is such a fun album, I'm really enjoying it.

Favourites:
Christine- toss up Too Far Gone (deja vu from 1970 album song of the same name :) and Carnival Begin- lovely heartfelt and beautiful.
Lindsey- Love is Here to Stay - great song and the best of his finger picking style.

I can't discount Christine's other songs, yes even Game of Pretend. She just knocks the whole thing out of the park.

AnthonyMI 09-18-2017 08:49 PM

I got the CD last week after having only had the Amazon download since it came out. It sounds so much better on CD than MP3. I wonder if the Apple AAC were better but I'm much happier with the CD. I can hear so much more detail and it sounds less like TISL. Warmer and richer, which if something missing from FM albums since Mirage.

sands of time 09-20-2017 11:49 AM

Love Is Here To Stay, for sure.

well, ProTools sure does.

There's so many vocal layers and so much ****ing tweaking of them it's hard to say if they can really harmonize with each other or not.... they sure can when you twist the knobs the right way though.

So you think all those harmonies of Stevie with herself (singing 2 Octaves above her vocal range) on the last two records are natural? LOL

I'd have a hard time believing that she sang two NOTES above herself, these days.:p

Not sure if you saw the any of the shows... but when they sang Hold, Me I had goosebumps. And then look at the history... World Turning.. and Live versions.

ISA Mirage. EOTW. So many examples.

blinker12 09-21-2017 08:17 AM

Kinda surprises me to say it, but "Sleeping Around the Corner." I just love that huge chorus.

Lindsey really brought his A game to this. So many catchy songs!
Sleeping
In My World
OWTS
All catchy as can be!

(although I'm not crazy about Lay Down For Free, and Love is Here to Stay - although I prefer LIHTS over LDFF)

jbrownsjr 09-21-2017 11:05 AM

I love the vocals on LIHTS.

I don't like the drums. Because it's the only song on there that doesn't sound like Mick, but a drum machine.

I think that's why I don't like it, either. It's just so boring.

Ya need to have your ears checked! :p I really love this song. Strong beat, good lyrics, and Linds intensity.

Footnote, I really love all the songs on BuckVie! :blob2::blob1::blob2:

Say You Will 09-29-2017 01:12 PM

Love all the songs as well, but if I am pressed for time I tend to skip over Game of Pretend
