Well, around the time of SYW, many CM fans took some of LB's comments about CM as snippy and snarky. I did not really see it that way, but they did. Here is an example - in the SYW doc., CM sent flowers to the band on opening night. LB made a comment about the flowers. I forgot what it was, but it seemed harmless to me. I think it was something about the card. Many CM fans were incensed because LB looked snarky about it.
LB never really struck me as antagonistic to CM. |
Wasn't it Christine who brought Lindsey back into the fold by getting him to work on that movie soundtrack song with her?

in an interveiw i read linked above by tango he said she "burned her bridges" how did she do that?

She left after The Dance and wanted nothing to do with FM, save, perhaps, for recording with them, though that is not really a given either.
I think LB was referring to that. I did not take it as disrespectful. I took it as factual. I also did not take it to mean that LB woulkd not welcome CM back if CM wanted to come back, which is usually what burned bridges suggests. |

I certainly don't know what Lindsey meant for certain, but took the comment to mean Christine turned in her membership card to Fleetwood Mac. Maybe like Bob Welch did when he resigned. Perhaps there was some signing of papers, giving up of certain rights, (use of the sauna, golf course) etc. I see Bob on board from time to time. Maybe he can address how one officially resigns from such a band. |

I kind of wondered that as well. I am sure lawyers were involved. I mean was there a contractual obligation she walked away from? Stevie said CM agreed to do the initial part of the tour, which CM did. CM declined to go on a second part around the world. So, I think there was no contractual obligation on CM's part after the initial tour. I cannot imagine FM's business people do not have some sort of exit clause in the band's paper work. I'd love to see it though! But, it could be as simple as "I am not doing this anymore - I resign" and then walking out the foor. I think that is unlikely though as millions of dollars were floating around and had been for 25 years. |
