Engaged?!

Are we all just going to pretend we haven't seen the big diamond ring that's permanently been on her finger?!

She has been divorced twice. Didn't think she had dated anyone long-term since divorcing Eddy Quintela. Who do you think the lucky feller is? If she is engaged, she's done very well to keep the relationship under wraps.

Are all diamond rings a signal of engagement? Since Christine's current engagement is to Fleetwood Mac, I can't imagine her being in any significant relationship.Perhaps she is having another fling with the band's lighting director.:D

The diamond ring on her finger is probably just a symbol for "glad I'm back in the band, ca-ching-ca-ching-ca-ching"!

I was just reading this.

Says Eddy and Christine separated in 1990; is that right? I thought it was much later. I know separation and divorce are two different things. I suppose they could have made things final years after actually going separate ways.

This is not correct. I believe they separated during the Dance tour. I've heard that she found out about his philandering while on tour. I think the divorce became final after she moved back to England.

The ring is probably just bling. She likes her shiny stuff as much as any other absurdly-rich person.

I can't really see a reason as to why she would keep this from us, but at the same time diamond rings are definitely not something that seem like something she would buy herself...

Didn't we first notice her wearing a ring on that finger back last year?

she could totally have said, "hey, I'm 70, I've got these beautiful rings, I might as well wear them as long as I'm around to wear them and they make me happy, who gives a hoot what they're "supposed" to mean?"

Though wearing them on the left hand is kind of interesting

then again, maybe wearing her bling on her left hand keeps the toy boys and gigolos away LOL

Between being married to John, then Eddie, for all those years, maybe she's just gotten used to HAVING a ring on that finger when she plays and it just felt too weird for her to play WITHOUT a ring on that finger.

I know it ook me a little while to get used to playing guitar with a wedding ring on.

Yes, in that I remember talk after the Novello awards as she had rings on both ring fingers, and then there was a quote or article about being lonely or such and so we assumed it was not an engagememt ring. I will admit that when I saw this latest ring I got curious and wondered if one of the chaps in her entourage is not a relation, manager, etc, but more. I hope she gets another go at it.
