Ticketmaster Email Concerning Boston Show...

Did anyone else recieve an email from ticketmaster saying that they won't be mailing the tickets if you bought them as a pre-sale, and that you will have to pick them up at will call instead? Let me know.

johndoe 10-04-2006 11:48 PM

No, I got my tickets in the mail last Saturday. Call customer support?

Yes, I got an email about Boston and NY.
Apparently, you have to use Will Call at the venue if you bought fan presale tickets and, unless I'm reading things wrong, that's applies for people who already hold a ticketfast ticket.

I received the same email, but in regards to the Cincinnati show. I am assuming the TicketFast tix I was sent are no longer valid.

Yup, got the email about the NYC show and I had already called a couple of days back to tell TM to leave them at the Will Call window as time is getting too close for them to get to me via the mail.

The ticketfast tickets are null and void...what the hell happened????

Tango 10-05-2006 02:06 PM

Fast tickets and regular "hard" tickets are being voided. You'll have to bring the credit card you purchased the tickets with along with ID to the Will Call window and get new tickets there. Kinda lousy if you got them as a gift from a family member who isnt going to attend- they will have to go to the venue and get them for you. A wasted trip for some, I think.

Obviously, to discourage re-sale and scalpers!! Not fair to the honest people but I guess they feel it will work. But I bet that there are ways around it that these people will find.

something must have happened? or does this happen often...? I can't recall another instance.

LINDSEY#1FAN 10-05-2006 03:55 PM

Well, I had bought tickets to the Cincinnati show, but can't go, so I guess that I'm just stuck with them. I was sent those tickets a LONG time ago. That just sucks for people that couldn't get online when they went on sale and others bought the tickets for them.

Seems like B.S. to me !!! I know that they are trying to get rid of scalpers and such, but WTF???? Why in the hell send out the tickets if they are no good in the 1st place !!

wondergirl9847 10-05-2006 03:58 PM

Hmm..

Wonder if this will be for every show.
