Fleetwood Mac News // FB, Instagram // change in admin, ownership?
 

Curious if anyone knows if Fleetwood Mac News on FB and Instagram (and their own site) has changed ownership recently?

It seems to have taken a very divisive tone lately, posting a lot of ticket sales and numbers memes showing a very pro-new band/anti-Lindsey Buckingham sentiment.

And if any honest comments come in simply stating how Lindsey's energy and guitar playing is missed, there are quick defensive replys in the comment section.

If your reaction to a recent show is critical, then your opinion isn't valid.
Just seems very different to how the site/and social media accounts were run prior to this current tour.
It used to be in celebration of the entire band's history, but now seems very anti-Buckingham and very pro Stevie. I'm wondering if possibly the band's PR company is running it now.

Obviously some $tevie drone.

The Ledge will always be the best option for open opinion about them.

I noticed the same a couple of months ago. At first, when Lindsey was fired they used to celebrate and promote his solo tour. Now they seem to have forgotten what this bunch of .... people did to Lindsey and they’re promoting their tour with great enthusiasm and with their eyes folded :mad:

I blocked them on Twitter a long time ago.

They deleted a ton of posts and people got blocked. Shame that they have to be all 1 sided now but then the Stevie cult members are pretty weird.

What I have noticed is the lack of activity in Christine's facebook. She used to post with some frequency since the On with the show tour. But since 2018 there are just some few posts and look more posted by a community manager.

Christine has been replaced by the woman who was on the cover of The Dance.

Saying that Christine airbrushed or even altered any (AND I MEAN ANY) of her photos in any way shape or form is against board rules. This is your last warning.

You are perfectly free to criticize Lindsey’s appearance. I actually saw Lindsey tape up his boot because the zipper broke on it. I CONDEMN him for that.

To answer your question. I don't think Christine has the guts to do solo album and tour anymore. I could be wrong. But, I do think BuckVie did ruffle feathers of another member. It might have been one of the final straws of getting FM together without her.

But, I think what finally drove $tevie to oust LB was their backstage behavior. i.e. Their personal interactions backstage and in meetings.

No. Stevie long wanted Lindsey out, but once Christine left in 1998 couldn't pull that trigger – until Christine returned and the band completed a full-lineup reunion tour to re-establish her membership in the group.

If anything, Buckingham McVie–and the scheduled-long-in-advance MusiCares ceremony–only prolonged Lindsey's tenure.

She was ready to kick him out the moment Christine re-joined the band. It was very well orchestrated by that evil little witch.

At the end, she got what she wanted, right? Right? Maybe not. Maybe all she wanted was Lindsey’s undivided attention and now she got nothing.

I take issue with this. Stevie is not physically little, for a start. In fact she is a teeny bit fat.

On your other points, she was incredibly happy at the 02 Arena in 2013 with Lindsey AND Christine, I highly doubt in 2013 she was thinking about kicking Lindsey out.

She didn't want Lindsey's undivided attention. She wants him to go away, isn't it obvious. I think all the thigh touching and shoulder tapping in interviews as recently at 2015 just goes to show she was trying to make him feel uncomfortable.

$he's only 5'1", for starters. THAT can constitute "little". But, you're right, and wrong. $he's more than a little bit fat. There's a reason Mama only wears black. $he got big belly and massive ego to hide under that black circus tent!:wavey:

Yes, she has always craved for Lindsey's attention. All the time. While Lindsey and Christine where doing their Buckingham McVie routine during GYOW at Musicares, that thing with the bat, Stevie was waving at Lindsey like crazy, trying to get his attention. She was jealous of his newfound relationship with Christine. And she got tired and fired him.
