New Sheryl Crow song with Stevie Nicks & Maren Morris out on 6/5
This was posted on Sheryl's fb page this morning
NEW! Out this Wednesday June 5 - my next single from my upcoming album Threads is “Prove You Wrong” and features the legendary Stevie Nicks and the incredible Maren Morris! Stevie exudes art, she is at all times authentic. She’s the sister I don’t see enough, but she never leaves my heart. I invited Maren to perform on “Prove You Wrong” with Stevie and I because she belongs in our “club” of strong female rockers who tell it like it is. Waddy Wachtel guests on guitar & makes “Prove You Wrong” rock properly, and my good friends Vince Gill and Joe Walsh also play on the track - can't wait for you to hear it! |

Why didn’t Sheryl do a duet with Miley Cyrus, a true legend?
|
Wow.....she just released the song with Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples last week!
At this rate, most of the tracks will be out as "singles" by the time the album gets released on August 30th! |
It's very country, and Stevie is using her TFFT voice. I don't hate it, but definitely won't be a favourite.

i thought the song was pretty good. catchy little tune.
|
I can’t even hear Stevie on the track. I’m sure that is on purpose.
|
I like this song, it has a nice summery sound and it's good to hear Stevie using her lower register towards the end.
|
Ok this sounds like a Linda Rondstadt song - very poor, poor pitiful me.

I love it......I think it’s catchy and a great sing along song.I think they did a nice job blending the 3 voices. |
I agree kind of filler and a throw away but not terrible. Sheryl peaked as a writer over 20 years ago.
|
I was just thinking about her first 3 albums or so and how this was the same songwriter. Totally agree.
