Try For The Sun
Get this.
Donovan's original version is on his "Fairy Tale" album. Produced by: Ken Caillat.  Don't believe me? Check it out: http://www.cdnow.com/cgi-bin/mserver...itemid=1500364 |
holy macarel andy.
c'mawn. get outta here. |
He produced, what, the CD?
I'm kind of puzzled. The original album came out in 1965, and Ken's not THAT old, is he? Did he perhaps remaster it for CD or something? He's not listed on AllMusicGuide - oddly enough, two guys that are - Geoff Strephens and Peter Eden - aren't.
Confusing! |
I would assume he produced the digital remastering process of the original tapes for the CD.
But, I just found it interesting that he was involved...any guesses as to how Lindsey got his hands on the tune?? (not that Lindsey wouldn't have a 1965 Donovan album in his collection, but it's just a little too fishy with Caillat involved) |
wow that IS interesting... i didn't see the Ken connection when i checked up on it last night to see that it was commercially released.... who the hell knows... i somehow imagine lindsey randomly listening to it and going "hmmmm gypsy boy? maybe GYPSY GIRL!!?? i can change that, right?"
