at least it charted ...

jeffles 10-12-2006 11:25 AM

at least its better than his last solo album, back in '92, which entered around 125.

80 isn't a bad showing. Especially for a non commercial (even by his standards) album.

MacMan 10-12-2006 11:28 AM

It's a good placement for no real promotion...

This was also discussed here: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...t=29167&page=3

i don't think that's a negative thing at all.
with the exception of bob dylan's Modern Times, if i think back to all the truly great releases this year, not a single one of them showed up on the top 100.

if anything, a debut at #80 shows that Lindsey's press agent is doing his job.

Better than the uk then at #154

Hopefully it can hang around for a few weeks

Sahara 10-12-2006 12:05 PM

Do ye think it'll go higher than 80?

DavidMn 10-12-2006 12:29 PM

I happen to think that's pretty damn good!:)

DrummerDeanna 10-12-2006 01:10 PM

80 is actually much better than I thought it would do

Again, Lindsey is just not a big name commercially. We all love him, and he IS an amazing talent...but the rest of the world hasn't quite grabbed onto that.

I think anything in the top 100 is a good showing for an album with next to no promotion.

I'm pretty impressed, too. I never expected it to chart higher than 'Out Of The Cradle.'

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but it'll probably drop pretty far next week, since the initial rush of all of us loyal Lindsey fans running to the store to buy it will have died down.
Fingers crossed though, "casual fans" who are seeing his shows will still pick it up.

I think that's great!

:)

maybe some of the 'young'ens' can appreciate MUSIC/ ARTIST pouring his soul out and making music.... instead of the hip-hop/rap **** that seems to polute the younger generations minds............play on Mr. Buckingham(see you in Cincinnati!)
