I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any recordings or video of the Klin House tour available anywhere. I know that it was cut short, but surely something must be out there.

You may be interested to know that what I can recall from that show is that in addition to the songs from the album, Danny if I'm not mistaken played either "When I see My Baby" or "Early Mornin' Come".

Jeremy did a version of what I believe to be "Teenage Darlin". The live version was quite animated (so was "Blood On The Floor") and much better than on his solo album. He did one "Dust My Broom" song and Jeremy played as an encore tune
" Keep a Knockin'" the one you hear Peter perform on Disc 2 of the Boston Box Set. Now I don't like to make comparisons but Jeremy just smoked on that song. Of course that was more his style anyway.

As I remember. "Hi Ho Silver" was the last song of the set and then they came out and did "Keep A Knockin". The place was buzzin', so was I, but I remember that much.

Well, this isn't from the "tour" as such and you probably have this already but there was a US 1971 V/A documentary put togeter called "Black, white & Blues" that covers the disgruntled black blues artists (and how they were the originators and didn't get money and the white players apparently get the big money for copying etc. but anyways... when discussing the British Blues boom (as these were the white artists for the most part that they were discussing) they had some clips of FM (FM at that time being MF, JM, CM, DK & JS) at either Kiln House or Benifolds I couldn't tell which, I THINK Benifolds) when they were "practising" songs like "I'm worried", "Station man", a fast "Talk with you" (if I remember correctly, it's been a while now since I've watched the clips) and "When the train comes back". I've got a copy of the FM snippets from this doc which run about 10 minutes altogeter, but that's it.

Anyways, it's floating around out there as I understand it was aired on TV in Japan not too long ago (as it has some Japanese subtitles on the bottom of the screen once in a while) and some one must have taped it when it was on over there and as Japan use the NTSC broadcast signal for videos etc. (just as North America does), then well, you know the rest...

I love it when someone brings up information on these early tours of FM. I always find it intriguing as to what the setlists were and what the performances were like. I wish I had something to add but I didn't become a fan of FM until Stevie and Lindsey joined the band. I didn't get to see any of these tours first hand. I'm envious and thanks for sharing Doc...and you too John! :)

I have the "Merely A Portmanteau" bootleg LP, side 2 of which is "Station Man" & "Tell Me All The Things You Do" (poorly recorded) from the Kiln House tour...but, that's all I've run across in the past 32 years.

(Side 1 has been released OFFICIALLY on disc 2 of the "Show Biz Blues" set)

Yeah, I've got that one too ChilliD. I got it way back in the 70's. I wonder if they are the same label and cover etc.. Mine is in an apple green jacket that came with a yellow cover page with two girls dancing, that lists all the tracks.

It's on the "Amazing Kornyfone Record Label, which is also yellow with cartoons. TAKRL/1906.

It came in a white plastic lined sleeve with light yellow Greek Key borders.

That's where I first heard "Tiger". I was hoping to find more of the Jeremy stuff from Kiln House.

Yeah, I think I got mine in '72...there used to be a head shop/record store near my HS that specialized in bootlegs...and it just happened to next door to our local McDonalds. So, I guess you now know where my lunch money went! :laugh: The thing is, I used to toss the paper covers of bootlegs & hand-design my own covers right on the LP jacket; so, my "Merely A Portmenteau" is a take-off of Chris' "Kiln House" cover. I have no recollection of the original cover sheet.

I guess that has carried over to these days, too, since I get a kick out of taking jpgs I've collected and design CD inserts & labels for my home burnt CDs.

I got that footage from a video dealer I know in Thailand called Ken Buckley, he also helped me get the "In concert '99" JS CD. I found some Dave Mason CD's for him in return that he was looking for at the time.
