2008 Tour ????

Hello All,

This is my response to the thread on Rumours part of the forum

This is what i would like to happen(setlist and band member line up)

Band Lineup

Mick Fleetwood, John McVie. Christime Mcvie, Rick Vito, Billy Burnette & Stevie Nicks

The Set list i would like to see ( in no particular order)

1) The Chain
2) In The Back Of My Mind
3) As Long As You Follow
4) All Over Again
5) You Make Loving Fun
6) 7 Wonders
7) Oh Well
8) Loved Another Woman
9) Sentimental Lady
10) Skies The Limit
11) Paper Doll
12) Little Lies
13) Walk Another Mile
14) Got No Home
15) Intuition
16) Silver Springs
17) Gold Dust Woman/Dreams
18) Dont Stop
19) Go Your Own Way
20) Rooms On Fire
21) Tear It Up
22) Beautiful Child
23) Behind The Mask
24) Standback

I would have no back up musicians and only a couple of backing singers.

I would love to hear comments on the set list etc

It sucks already, without lindsey buckingham and the importance of his contributions to the band they simply
would not be able to exist right now.
I think you just said that to piss of LB fans. His guitar abilities outweigh both Vito and Burnett put together. And even with his modesty he even admitted that.
I also dont see Big Love, Never Going Back Again, Go Insane, Im So Afraid, Eyes Of the World, I know Im Not Wrong, Second Hand News. And absolutely nothing from the Recent Say You Will Album.

Hello, knock knock !! is anybody in there.

As much as I too would love to see this line-up of the band in concert (and I say this as both a Lindsey Buckingham fan and Billy Burnette fan), it would never happen, and if it did, it would never work.

First of all, I don't see Christine McVie rejoining the fold - EVER.

Secondly, even with Stevie onboard, there are far too many people who would look at this lineup and say "That isn't Fleetwood Mac" and the tour likely wouldn't make any money.

Third, not only would fans look at that lineup and say "That isn't Fleetwood Mac" they'd hear the setlist - with so few Rumours-era selections - and say "Those aren't Fleetwood Mac songs."

Ummm...Lindsey Buckingham is not the be all, end all of Fleetwood Mac. He definitely is the most spoiled, egotistical, insane bastard they've ever had, though. And, if you disparage Rick Vito again, I'll have to call you a nincompoop.

Give me a Fleetwood Mac lineup WITHOUT Lindsey & Stevie ANY day of the week. Those two make me sick.

In your opinion this line up sucks.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

This is the line up that i would like to see(even though it would probably not happen)
Why is it that when anyone says anything about not having LB in the band, its an affront to them.

There is mor to FM that LB.
Fleetwood Mac was there before LB and was there when he quit and will still be there as long as Mick and John still want to play.

No i have not been to many FM concerts , but after seeing 3 different line ups and owning all the bands cd's, i feel that LB would be no loss.

Even though i enjoyed the FM concert at Earls Court on the last Tour, it was by far the worst FM concert that i have seen.

Oh by the way, i felt 'Say You Will ' record was very poor.

Any lineup without Dave Mason or Bekka Bramlett is fine with me. Of course without Lindsey and Stevie, they would be opening up for Mr. Big, Trixter and Ratt on the County Fair circuit.

Seriously doubt that. But, I wouldn't have to deal with all the chiffonheads who only care about seeing Stevie Nicks. At least some REAL Fleetwood Mac fans would make up the audience.

What kind of venues would they play?

Tango and BTM Tour was best FM line-up ever. Rick´s and Billy´s guitar and singing I like much more than Lindsey´s.
But I know that is unreal that this line-up will do some concert.
So I hope at least that Chris will tour with FM sometimes.

mmm... all my dreams are unrealizable:D, I will be very happy if I could see FM live in whatever line-up;).

So the chiffonheads aren't REAL Fleetwood Mac fans??? That's total BS. I LOVE Fleetwood Mac.

No, they're Stevie Nicks fans first, THEN Fleetwood Mac fans only because Stevie Nicks happens to be a member.

That's because most of them didn't even know Fleetwood Mac before Stevie & Lindsey joined. I don't think you can say that Stevie fans aren't REAL Fleetwood Mac fans just because they love her. Most of us went back to the history of the band and love the old albums. I know I do and so do a lot of other Stevie & Lindsey fans. MTM, Penguis, Heroes a.o are my favorite albums. As for BTM, I can honestly say that's the worst work Stevie has ever done (incl. Street Angel).

They cant do GOYW!!! thats tottaly LBs song, and it just doesnt work for Rick/Billy.

Dissagree with the Lineup, but what can I say, im Buckingham obsessed

I do like your setlist though for this lineup aside from GOYW, too many Stevie solo though.

And just throwing it out there. Id rather be at a show with just L/C and M/J than with just S/L/M/J.... Ive decided Christine contributes more to the group, but I would go if the BTM lineup were to tour just to see Chris.

And its true, most of the people at mac shows only go to see stevie, if she didnt do the dance, it would have been a waste...
